Good start . Hopefully we can carry that form through the season, we've been so patchy the last few years. Either great, or awful - no middle ground to be had.

I'm not holding out much hope for Arsenal this year (and I say that as someone who has been a Wenger Apologist for ages), Wilshere, Walcott & Van Persie already injured and Fabregas & Nasri unlikely to stay this season, with both causing unrest in the team, even my brother who is diplomatic when it comes to our players wants those two to leave now, they're just causing unrest in the camp and to be honest we could do without all that old shit.

Emilio Izaguirre, SPL player of the year last season, out for 4-6 months with a fractured ankle. Disaster for us.

And Scott Severin of Dundee United had a triple leg break on Saturday too. Not a good weekend.

Sunday, 3:20 pm. "It's only a bloody friendly, who cares!"

Sunday, 4:20pm. "What a bloody preformance that was, never doubted 'em, bring on Barca!"

Crazy what an oversized 50p piece can do to you. :D

Arsenal's season is looking worrying. If Cesc & Nasri stay, we are in good stead attacking wise - however our defence has been strengthened following the departure of Clichy. The problem is that Gibbs is so injury prone, and we only have 1 world class center back.

*sigh*

Who?

I dont think ARSEnal have any worldclass defenders...Thomas Vermaelen? Not worldclass in my opinion

Edit - I should probably mention I'm tempted to get into journalism after uni, hence asking for opinions.

Good stuff actually. Fan blogs are really starting to take off, and some of the quality you can find is better than the rubbish you find in newspapers. I've been doing a blog for a Celtic fansite for over a year now too, which lead to doing a few bits and pieces for footballfancast.com

Mind you, I tipped St Johnstone for top six in one blog - that's not started well!

Cheers. There good to write and I could mention them if I do try my hand at journalism at any point. My rating is 8/310 so far, which I'm chuffed about!

I was trying not to be biased, but I don't think St. Johnstone will go down realistically. Another drab season though.

We went out of the Carling Cup on penalties after a 3-3 draw away from home. I should be disappointed, but I don;t want a cup run, I want to concentrate on making sure we are at least challenging for promotion at the sharp end of the season. So far we've scored 7 goals in 2 away games (not counting the penalites) - that's nearly as many as we scored away from home all last season. I hope this means good things to come.

We won our first league match, but I think we're going to crash out of the Carling Cup this weekend. Oh well! I'm a little bummed my planned party to watch Tottenham v. Everton isn't going to happen, but more upset at the state of the world.

Tell me about it, we have some hard working, great players left at Arsenal still, however due to their lack of experienced they are prone to making mistakes, Szcezney (can never spell it properly) is proving to be an great young goalkeeper, give it a year or two & I think he could be one of the greats :)

So will probably sign for a decent team at a reduced rate as ARSEnal wont have offered him a contract until its to late

Europa League tonight. Celtic and Rangers both playing tonight and it's not the biggest game up here. That almost never happens. Hearts v Spurs, c'mon He... nah, I can't do it.

So you should be. Refreshing to see a team turn up at Celtic Park and play two up front. Proof that you can do that and STILL pack the defence. Took one of the few chances you got (although Sheridan's chance was probably the better one), lived on your luck a bit (twice we hit the woodwork), and Enkelman had a great game (that was a good penalty save rather than a bad penalty, even if he did slip taking it).

On the other hand, we were shit.

We are now officially having a mare.

On the lighter side, Ray Wilkin's commentary during the Man U/Chelsea game was brilliant when watching the replay of Torres' miss, as he said "Well you really don't like to see that do you.." - speak for yourself Wilkins, most of us really enjoyed it, it was hilarious! Bless him. Actually, being married to an ex-pat Manc and therefore regularly subjected to their live matches on telly, I actually enjoyed this one. The commentators seemed to enjoy what they were watching too, but strangely, a lot of the time I think it must have been a different match. Weirdos.
