Simple Minds are fronted by Jim Kerr, who has a son with Patsy Kensit, who also has a son with Liam Gallagher, who also has a son with Nicole Appleton, who used to go out with Robbie Williams, who also dated Rachel Hunter, who was married to Rod Stewart, who had a big hit with 'Sailing'. Sailing involves wearing waterproof clothing, as does mountaineering. Mountaineering is popular in Snowdonia in North Wales. North Wales is where Lisa Scott-Lee is from, who used to be in Steps with H. 'H' in the world of civil aviation signifies a heliport, which is somewhere you land a helicopter. Colorado is also the name of an American river. River Phoenix starred in 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' alongside Sean Connery. Sean Connery is the father of Jason, who was Robin of Sherwood. The Proclaimers are made up of two brothers. Brothers are the male equivalent of sisters. Sisters of Mercy were a goth band who were formed in Leeds. Leeds take on Watford this Sunday in Cardiff. Cardiff is where you'd expect to see Charlotte Church. 'Church' rhymes with 'perch', which is a type of fish. Fish are caught in nets, while nets of a different type are used in cricket for practising. Cricketers wear pads, which are found in your car on the brakes. Brakes Co-op are the band that include Zane Lowe. Low is the opposite of high. We've certainly had a week of highs here in Dundee, and had the time of our lives. Now ordinarily this would have linked to (I've Had) The Time Of My Life' by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes, however, due to a clerical error the CD with that track on is now blank which means we have to choose something else, which links to Kenny Loggins and 'Footloose'.

The word 'dozen' shares many of the same letters as 'ozone', which is like a protective layer around the earth which is being destroyed by hairspray. Hairspray is what people like Jon Bon Jovi used a lot of in the 1980s. The 1980s in British politics were the Thatcher years. Margaret Thatcher's daughter Carol was the winner of the last series of 'I'm A Celebrity'. 'I'm A Celebrity' is hosted by Ant & Dec, who are from Newcastle, like Donna Air. Air is important in the world of scuba diving, as are flippers. Flipper is also the name of the world's most famous dolphin. If you're a dolphin it must be very difficult to get to sleep. If you can't sleep you might say you were suffering from insomnia, which links to Faithless and 'Insomnia'.

Flaws:

Two major issues today: Kevin Bacon wasn't in 'The Lost Boys', and dolphins do sleep, they just do it by shutting down one half of the brain at a time, so they can still breathe while getting the rest they need.

A grille is what you find on the front of your car. Your car is what you'd be getting fixed if you were visiting the garage. Garage is the type of music that the Dreem Teem like to play. Sunshine on a rainy day normally results in a rainbow. 'Rainbow' was a tv show that featured Zippy and Bungle. If you add an 'A' to 'bungle' and replace the 'E' for an 'o' and a 'W' you get 'bungalow', which is an Indian word meaning 'house with no upstairs'. Upstairs is the opposite of downstairs, which is where you'd normally find the kitchen. 'Martika's Kitchen' was a hit for Martika that got to number 17. 17 is the shirt number worn by Everton's Tim Cahill, who plays for Australia. 'Australia' was a hit for the Manic Street Preachers, who include Nicky Wire. Wire is what you have in your house to power the plugs and stuff. Plugs are found in baths and sinks. Sink is what a boat would do if it had a hole in it. A boat is where you'd be if you were looking for fish, and 'fish' rhymes with 'wish',, which links to Skee-Lo and 'I Wish'.

Flaws:

The term 'bungalow' did in fact originate in India, deriving from the Gujarati 'bangalo', which in turn derives from Hindi 'banglā'. This term was used elliptically for a "house in the Bengal style", which were traditionally small, only one storey and detached, and had a wide veranda. So Dave had it half-right.

When you think of hunting for illegal stuff you think of bloodhounds, which links to the Bloodhound Gang and 'The Bad Touch'.

Flaws:

Customs officers in fact use King Charles spaniels rather than bloodhounds for sniffing out illegal substances; and it was Blackpool Airport, not Newquay, that named a lounge after Jo Whiley.

A bloodhound is a large dog with a wet nose. The nose is a part of the body that is used to smell. If you remove the first and last letters of 'smell' you're left with 'Mel', which is the first name of Mel B, also known as Scary Spice. Spices were traded in the olden days, and transported using ships. Ships are powered by the wind with the use of sails. Sales of a different type are what people queue for in January. January is named after Janus, who was, I think, a Roman or Greek God. The Greeks did rather well at Euro 2004 in Portugal. Portugal is a good place to go if you like hor weather, and is definitely warmer than Germany. Germany have produced several bands, including PM Dawn, which links to PM Dawn and 'Set Adrift On Memory Bliss'.

Flaws:

Much debate ensued as to whether PM Dawn really were German. Dave stated afterwards that he thought they were actually in the American army but based in Germany; however, wiki simply states that they are an American ensemble, formed in 1988 by brothers Attrell and Jarrett Cordes in Jersey City, New Jersey. Additionally, Janus was in fact a Roman God - the God of beginnings and transitions.

We watched Holland v Serbia yesterday from here in Germany, where we're working dead hard even though the weather is really nice like when you're on holiday, which links to Madonna and 'Holiday'.

Petulas are not a flower, they're not anything; Dave was thinking of petunias. Additionally, there is no such person as Benjamin Franklin Roosevelt; Dave had Franklin Delano Roosevelt, President of the United States from 1933–1945, and Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States in the 1700s, mixed together.
