There's no point in him writing a book unless he is going to be completely open about everything - and I don't see how he can be. Chris's books were okayish because even though the stuff we REALLY wanted to hear about wasn't allowed to be written, there was enough other stuff to keep you at least part-interested. I don't think Dave's career and life - unless he is really going to spill proper beans about them - are interesting enough to sustain the kind of self-censorship he will probably be required to practice.

I hope he does an audiobook version. Chris reads his own books in the audiobook versions and it feels like Chris is telling you his stories. It really adds that extra layer which I think would work really well with something Dave would put out.

As others have said, it'll only be worth a read if he spills the beans about his divorces etc. I know it's none of our business but the general public are nosey by nature, of corse we want to know!

Plus it's no secret that Dave likes to put it about, and I'm sure there are plenty of stories from his time on the road, and how his two marriages 'overlapped' (allegedly)

But I don't think he will, would he really want his daughter, family and friends knowing that stuff? Personally I wouldn't. That just leaves his career that isn't that interesting.

Dave is a very good comedy writer in my opinion, most of the song parodies are by him, and a lot of the comedy in the Chris Moyles Show comes from him. OK, he's no Eddie Braben or Ronnie Barker.

But what is funny on air isn't funny written down. No one reads the lyrics to Lunch In This Pub and laughs (mind you I dont think many do when it is sung either). And King Of Tickets wouldn't exactly be a lot of laughs in text format either!!
