This song is a heartfelt ode to our favourite pronunciation-challenged DJ - filmed at my place of work too!

I seem to be the only one who doesn't quite get it. I like Westwood usually but to me it feels a bit like he's forcing the 'one liners' to make it funny rather than let it be naturally funny. It's alright but I did drop in and out but then that might be because I'd only had 3 hours sleep (after a wasp sting woke me up). It does seem to be a hugely popular feature though so what do I know?

I was quite happy when i heard Where am i was back. Its just the way Westwood says things that makes me laugh so much. Anything beats CR and means the show can use the money from buying new mugs to put into other things.

Where Am I? with Westwood is the greatest feature in the history of the world!

If you disagree, with respect, you're wrong.

I'm with you on this. I really enjoyed the feature when it first started because the mistakes Westwood made and way he went about it was obviously genuine, after a while though during the feature's last run it became quite clear that he was fishing for laughs, and thus the magic was lost. I assumed the team noticed this and that is why the feature was dropped. Obviously it's only the features first day back, but I fear it'll be going down the same route again.

Good to have them back, having listened to Mondays I think he seems lively after a break.

Regarding WAI, seems like a cop-out to bring it back really. Was hoping for something new now we know he has a couple of years left to play around with. But ultimately that area of the show will always prove to be a bumpy one, I can listen right through the rest without fearing a link. One good thing is that the jingles have remained fresh. Shame about features.

Greetings from the GWN:

Westwood operates at a frequency that I don't get. Missing his game is not a loss. He always came across as silly and way over the top.

Meh.

I don't mind WAI, but Westwood is trying too hard. He's milking the script far too hard and its less funny. I like the silly features at 7.20-something though, I don't think it matters what they are really, the team makes it entertaining.

Not just you the original feature was quite funny but it soon lost it's entertainment value for me. The 'mistakes' Westwood makes just seem so forced a bit like certain parts of Top Gear (e.g. 'accidentally setting fire to things) where it's now just not that funny.

Hopefully it won't last long although like Celebrity Raspberry it's one of those features I can easily miss combine it with the previous 2 records and the 7:30 news it gives me a good long break when I get to work to go get a coffee etc.

Bring back buzz off I say :D

That made me feel a little queasy.

Westwood's been trying too hard for the last 20 years, I suspect he's also been quite aware of his fauxs pas and idiosyncrasies.

But I think it's like knowing that the little Krankie was a middle aged woman and not a small boy.

He makes me chuckle and I think the feature's ace.

The thing I don't like about the feature is that it's becoming samey - the clues are always very similar, and it's always a city or country. I remember thinking that it was suffering from this same problem just before they dropped it last summer. When they sometimes had places like 'the post office' or 'the supermarket' it seemed funnier and generated more varied clues and guesses.

I thought this feature was only temporary, didn't they say so in one of the last shows before the holidays? That they'll bring back a known feature for a couple of weeks (6 if I remember correctly) and then there will be something new? Or am I imagining things?

I hope you're not, cos for me this feature drags an otherwise lively show. It was OK when it was different and new.

(I do like the music at the beginning though, but thats it.)

He's even managing to ruin the musical tastes game today or maybe I'm just in a bad mood for me it's worse than when Mr Charisma Huw Stephens bored everyone stupid.

The feature itself is good, but Westwood is ruining it becaus he is simply trying too hard to be funny. I get the impression Chris is irritated by it as well.

And listening to Westwood on the musical tastes game now it is apparent Chris is annoyed by him. It's a shame really, because Westwood can be very funny.

Chris seems to be rushing through it now to get it over with...despite what those texts said this is dreadful radio and I love the musical tastes game as a feature.

Surely after the marathon show they could of got Mistajam in from 1xtra instead of Westwood. In fact there are so many DJs that wouldn't ruin it they could of invited on (even if it was done on tape!).

I am sure they had an Off-Air word with him half way through the musical tastes game. He was an absoloute pain in the arse for the first half, but showed that he can be quite entertaining when he calmed down a bit.

Sat and today are up
