Loved David this morning , I don't get why people thought why he'd be a bore he's always seemed like a lovable lunatic in his interviews :)

Yep, i'm not a fan of his music & wasn't expecting him to be as entertaining & funny as that.Especially after they were ripping the piss out of his music just before he arrived, but he took it all excellently. Fair play to the man.

There doesn't seem to have been anything said about Peter Kay being on the show on Friday, is it still happening or not? Shame if it's not, I think Peter is one of my favourite ever guests.

It's seems to be untrue. Both on the show and on the site it says that it's Nick Grimshaw.

Agreed. I knew nothing of David Guetta before the interview and I am left with the impression that he is a decent chap and very good fun.

That's a shame, always like Peter on the show with Chris.

Was gonna say Grimmy sounds like a backup guest. But he's doing the teen awards (I think) so could have been planned all along to have him on.

Interestingly, the car was set to Radio 2 as I got in it this morning from listening to Simon Mayo on the way back yesterday and I heard him in with Chris Evans before I switched.

Probably bumped so that Nick f*cking Grimshaw could tell a load of squealing prepubes about One Direction & someone whose name sounded like Grizzled Tits but was nowhere near as interesting as that.
Not a good swap, i'd have thought

Man i would have liked Peter Kay on the show today as opposed to what did happen since today's show was just a snoozefest. I've shared my opinion on Friday shows numerous times before but most people who are not 14-17 could care less about the Teen Awards and the line-up in my opinion is kind of lame compared to last year's.

I don't really even think I would want to go to the Teen Awards. It just seems...dull. Plus the 'line-up' is terrible.

Spoken like a true old person (and that's coming from me!) you just needed to add that Rizzle Kicks are "not music, just a noise" :)

That said, I agree that all that Teen Awards stuff this morning was rubbish. I'd much rather they just chatted with Grimmy about nothing in particular for an hour.

And thats why I listened to Radio 2 for about an hour between 8.15 until about 9.20 Peter Kay was on and very funny as always and also I dont care about the teen awards and that tool Grimshaw, and what I have read above it sounds like it was a borefest. Plus I missed a bit of the dire golden hour, yes Nancy Boy is a great track but between the golden hour and tedious link how many more times must it be played!!

Yep, you did the right thing. I just listened to Tuesday's show last night at work and pretty much share the sentiment with people on here about David Guetta. I said that I thought it was going to be crap but boy was I wrong. The fact that he took the mickey taking all in good fun etc makes him likable and I appreciate him and like him for that but still think his music is not for me.

I had to smile today when they announced Dappy would be appearing on the show. The same Dappy who sent death threats to listeners the last time he was in! :D

The whole thing reeks of pressure by the record company to get Dappy on the show as he has a new single to plug. Looks like Chris will have to grin and bear it!

Theres a lot of that these days, it's almost becoming the chart show. Bring the regulars back, get Gordon in, bit of banter.
