I'm afraid I don't know. It's good to know though. I've logged it and should I meet the right person I'll definitely ask them and let you know.

also quick question are there any R1 presenters that don't like each other? Am just asking because everyone seems to get on well on air bar a few small incidents but that could just be a one off than a full on dislike
#450884
Final question with Double Acts e.g. Chappers + Dave, Fearne and Reggie, Colin + Edith etc are double acts not being used so much because of cost or presenters prefer to present solo or management prefer solo presenters? With the Surgery do you prefer to present solo or liked the 1xtra link ups better with Max/Gemma?

I hardly think Aled is in a position to say who likes or dislikes each other. Even if he did know, he has more sense than to post stuff like that here.

If Chris isn't interested in the blog, he isn't interested in the blog.

Out of all the Chris Moyles Show channels it's the one that gives us least back for the amount of work it would take. Even when you look at what other blogs get back it's not a medium I can convince Chris to spend a lot of effort on.

Yes that's the last show - but it's not from London. I was going to give you some info on our big All Day Chris Moyles Show but Chris stopped me on air - so I won't reveal anything yet, just in case Chris wants to announce it.

I honestly don't know of any. Radio 1 has always been quite a tight family so if presenter hatred became obvious I'm sure it would have been addressed quite quickly.

I'm afraid that's a question for Big Boss Ben - I don't know the answer to that.

As with the Surgery, I like the feeling that when they are specials or are simulcast with 1Xtra that Gemma's there because they feel bigger and different. I wouldn't like it though as a weekly thing, because it's mainly about the listeners so the more voices there are in the studio the more people need a say and the less listeners we can get on air.

Oooo sounds interesting.

Btw, I seem to remember hearing you say a few weeks back (when Chris was talking about it being 2 years since breaking the record) that you would be announcing a way in which you can relive the entire marathon show but Chris stopped you and said that it would be announced another time.

Is this announcement still coming or am I imagining things?

No, I remember that. I was hoping it might be a dvd of the red button footage, although if he did say the 'entire' marathon show, that would be a big old box-set.

We've already got that. The whole show was posted in MPEG2 "broadcast quality". It's 51.6GB, so should fit on 6 DVDs. With Music and News.

I watched the whole thing while the team were off a few weeks ago. It's great.

As I mentioned, I did the whole thing when the team were off for those 2 weeks. It took a long time, but I skipped most of the music and news. I'm guessing it took over a week to watch? I'd seen a lot of it live, but not all of it, so it was great to see again.

I found myself watching it late at night, partly because I was glued to the show and it was hard to turn off, and partly because it was interesting for me to watch both sleep deprived and also at around the same time at night as Chris and Dave were really living it.
I seriously don't know how they did it, as it was exhausting just to watch.
Chris was nuts to stay standing for most of the marathon. I couldn't have done it.

This is a bit premature probably because the sad news of Jimmy Saviles death has just come in,but do you have any idea whetehr Chris or Radio One are likeley to do some sort of tribute to him as he was such a Radio One legend? I think Chris was a big fan of his

I doubt many of Radio 1's target audience would have heard of Sir Jimmy, so I think it's unlikely there will be any tribute.

I'm sure Chris will mention it on Monday, but I doubt it'll be anything more than that. I think Radio 2 are more likely to put together an official tribute.
