I've got to drive back from Sheffield to Milton Keynes on the 27th, and it's a 3 hour drive.

Seriously considering leaving 5 hours early to have Chappers & Dave accompany me for the whole journey.

edit. If anybody asks, it's because I want to see my dad before he leaves for work.

Oh, I can't remember. A few days ago.

I am so missing Carrie more and more. No offence to Tina but she hasn't grown on me one bit, during Truth or Gunge she ground my gears so much i wanted to scream. Rachel is a big miss too, she could pull Chris in more than Aled can at times.

I thought Tina was ok but after the Truth or Gunge Week where she became more verbal.. she is a no no in my book. Heard a totally different side to her and didn't like it!

I am still missing Rachel too.

That I do agree with. It would be nice to hear Freya on air more to provide some balance.

I'm not sure I agree. I do think that there have been times when female input has greatly added to the show, and now isn't really one of those times - but to me that just underlines that it has to be the RIGHT female input. I don't mind Tina, but she has never - or at least not so far - felt like an integral part of the team in the way that Rachel and Carrie did. However Carrie took a while to find the balance so I'm not writing Tina off.

Just assuming that if Freya has more on-air time it will improve things isn't necessarily right, she might not work at all.

Chris, Dave, Dom, Aled, Carrie and Rachel where the best mix in my opinion but times change and the team must go on with a new line-up. The main stays will be Chris (Obviously), Dave and Aled and maybe Dom aswell.
Anyway, back to the Christmas line up. Hmm. Not sure if this could be true or not. Chappers back on radio 1? That seems like a step backwards. I know Tony Blackburn came back but that was because of the stations 40th not because the managment missed the old DJs.

I would love for this to happen, but lets be real Chappers and Dave is likely never to happen again, Chappers has moved on to bigger and better things and Dave is doing loads with Dom, in fantasy land I would love to here a one off Dave and Dom show. They are both freelance so its more likely and would be loads more fun (maybe not for the right reasons) plus Dom knows how to run that mini desk thing, so it wouldn't sound half bad.

I think Tina has been pretty much the equal of Carrie. Neither of them have been integral to the show and both have tried too hard to be a part of it. Both of them tried to copy Dom's style and mannerisms as well.

I do like both of them pretty much equally (maybe Carrie slightly ahead of Tina) but neither were/are particularly important to the show. I do agree that the show needs a female presence and Sam, for the time she covered when Aled was ill was superb in my opinion, and I like Freya on her rare appearences.

The vital members of the show, other than Moyles, are Dave and Dom. Everyone else can come and go, but Dave and Dom are irreplaceable to me. The show would go on without them, but it wouldnt be the same.

Tina occasionally drops in some pretty good jokes. But she does it very quietly, so they often go unnoticed.

She also has a really good memory for what's happened on the show (since she joined). She's often the only one to recall stuff that's happened, and sometimes even when it happened.

Like any "new" member, it takes a while to become part of the permanent team.

There are also logistical issues that restrict how much she contributes. It's not until you see the show on video that you realise how often Tina and Dom are out of the studio, and when they are both in the studio, Tina doesn't actually have a microphone. She has to lean in and share Dom's.

I think she's made a solid contribution to the show and is becoming as valuable as Carrie.

The singing alone (Jeez) brought enough laughs to justify her being on the show!

I agree entirely, I like how one off show of hers means that she's showing her "true colours", it's like those people who still hate Moyles because they heard his show once back in 1999

Yeah I agree with that, my first line up (when I was listening to the show properly) was Chris, Dave, Rhys & Melinda, however as much as I like the current line up my favourite line up will always be Chris, Dave, Will & Lizzie (also Jon Culshaw on Friday's) , a great line up and there used to be some great heated discussions on air with Chris vs Dave, Lizzie &/or Will
