I couldn't be more in favour of the strikes and strikers if I tried.

But that's just embarrassing.

Pathetic, po-faced, sense of humour-failure, knobs who I can almost guarantee hadn't actually heard what he'd said in full before being morally outraged.

Someone put on Twitter that every time you get angry at Clarkson, he masturbates... it put a horrible image in my head, which now you have too - but it's pretty much right, I mean he's got a book to sell - the best thing he can do is be as controversial as possible. AND he loves to portray the left as humourless and pretty much everything Wykey said - so calling for him to be sacked plays right into his hands.

indeed. He only does these things to get a rise outa people.

Well done to them for playing straight into his hands.

Anyway, aren't we all entitled to our opinion, no matter how seemingly daft...?

(certainly works for Yuds...! )

The furor about Jeremy Clarkson's comments is annoying me. Yes, what he said was silly given what was going on but it was clear he was taking the piss. However, Karen Jennings from Unison has come out and compared him to Colonel Gadaffi. I'm actually amazed she was idiotic enough to say that on BBC News. What a complete moron.

I can take a joke like anyone, but I was shocked and disgusted by what jeremy Clarkson said on the One Show yesterday. Saying that strikers should be taken out and executed in front of their families is incitement to violence, and a criminal offence. At the very least Clarkson should be suspended.W e are paying this idiots wages after all as a BBC empl;oyee. When 2 men posted an article on the internet in august telling people to join in the London riots they were jailed for several years. I don't see what the difference is between what they did and what Jeremy Clarkson has said. So I think he should at the very least be sacked and possibly charged with incitement to hatred. What do you all think?

edit-just ignore the above.I may have taken it way too seriously

That's the excuse of every criminal. It's no use him s aying it was a joke. The point is many people did not think it was a joke . I have written to the BBC to say I am refusing to pay my license fee until he is fired.I urge youall to do the same .I am fuming at this. After all I dare say Gaddafi could h ave said it was a joke when he called on innocent protestors to be massacred.

Don't be preposterous. It was a JOKE. If you seriously think Clarkson's comment is in any way comparable to the war crimes of Gadafi, then you're the one who needs psychiatric help. (And I say this as someone whose brother and sister-in-law were amongst those striking.)

He won't be fired, so prepare to be without television for a while. And did you actually just compare Clarkson's comments to homocide? Really?

Firstly, how has this lead you to boycott Chris Moyles' show? In what way has he been involved? Secondly, why were you here in the first place?

I thought it was inappropriate for the programme and just wasn't funny, but he's apologised, as has the broadcaster, so I don't think further action needs to be taken. It's clear he was joking, as well, if he was being serious it would of course be different. 'Offensive' wouldn't be the first word that sprang to mind, more 'dickhead'.

To be honest, I thought what he said about railway suicides was more 'offensive'.

Not no more!

Serious, was that chap for real? It's another Badger Alt account I reckon...........

I like JC, for what ever reason he gives the alternative opinion.

It's ok for far left wing loveliness to come across all the time, and everyone is affraid of taking the right wing view so all politics are screwed to the liberal left, which is shit. At least if a few people stand up with this sort of opinion then it should mederate the middle ground, but then again that bitch on the tube could be argued was doing the same, which is fundamentally wrong, so I suppose it does matter about the subject, oh I don't know, it's very very sad that people get upset, it's more sad it's on the front of all newspapers this morning. It's one line from HIGNFY, not a national media scandal.

Personally I think people who do not clean their Teeth properly should be shot (CLARKSON)

"I realise the ordinary brown sparrow is just as important as the peregrine falcon." - Clarkson.

See, I like that, same as the 'Spam or Olives' question - that's how you diffuse rows, and that's why footy was invented - better to get wound up over something that doesn't really matter.
