No, this is instead of that

Thanks for your response Aled, asking for both would have been greedy!

We still don't know where Chris is this Monday/Friday?

I'm afraid that's a question for Chris

And the fact of the matter is, it's not really any of our business where he is.

Of course it isn't, but it doesn't necessarily follow that people wouldn't be curious, and ask does it? Its just conversational - "ooh, you having a couple of days off? What are you up to?" There's no expectation of necessarily getting a response!

It was more "We don't know where he is".

We?

It's as though WE absolutely must know every intimate detail of everything he's doing at all times and have an expectation of knowing, as if we're entitled in some way.

If the post had said "I still don't know where Chris is this Monday/Friday?" then the correct meaning of the post would have been more clear.

I DEMAND TO KNOW WHERE CHRIS IS AT ALL TIMES.

I am a fan of the show, and I pay his wages. I'm pretty sure that under the freedom of information act, I'm allowed to know where all BBC employees (permanent or contract) are at all times.

No? Oh, I'll just sit and wonder then.

I agree with Chrysostom, we pay his wages, we have RIGHTS! :-x

Whatever happened to Paul (The Bear?)? I've been listening to some early shows (2004) and forgot how funny his laugh was. I was just wondering where he dissapeared to.

Yes that's the last show - but it's not from London. I was going to give you some info on our big All Day Chris Moyles Show but Chris stopped me on air - so I won't reveal anything yet, just in case Chris wants to announce it.

Looking back at this does this mean the 23rd is an all day show or were you talking about the 26th?

I'm guessing you look at this forum more than the others so I'll ask here Aled. Would Ross Noble as a guest be out of the question? I reckon him and Chris would get on well with there simalar sence of random humour.

Sorry to anger you further, but one of Ross Noble's dvds is even called 'Randomist'.
#454076
That's fine. It's It's not the word random itself, or it's connotations that's the problem.

It's people referring to things they have thought about and then talked about, thought about and then written down, thought about and then recorded on film as random.

In every day existence, and in almost every action, inaction or act of happenstance you can think of, people aren't random.

There is conscious thought driving all of the self-styled randomistas.

And that's not random.

To be fair, Ross Noble is a funny man.
