Safari, Firefox and Chrome are shit.

Not that there's anything really wrong with ie though, I'd choose that over Chrome any day of the week.

You'd choose IE? Willingly...? :/

Yup, I use it for facebook and twitter (if I'm using them on a windows PC) as it's FAR more reliable than anything else.

I use Opera, because I've used that for 15 years or so and it's 'normal' for me now. But IE is still the best option for a lot of sites.

But then I don't really do fashionable complaining.

The thing with IE is that many sites are optimised for it because it's still what most people use (though that trend has gone down). I have to say I rarely get problems with Chrome though and I have installed Chrome Frame into my IE at work so that if stuff does break (which it does sometimes) I can see if viewing it as it would be in Chrome is any better.

I think the thing with IE, is that a lot of people have friends who are 'experts' - they'll happily blame problems they don't understand on Windows or on IE.

That then becomes a 'fact'.

I had issues with IE constantly crashing on my home PC so went to Firefox then latterly Chrome - but I use IE at work with no problems. Well, there are problems, but it isn't the browser's fault.

I've used Firefox a fair few times, every single time I've got to the point where I've realised it's using all the system memory, plus a bit more.

And the plug-ins (ie audio video 'embedded') often crash it.

ie in a work environment is often helped by the lack of shite that people install on their home pcs.

Not that I'm suggesting you would, obviously, but my nephews' enjoyment of "online flash games that come with things to install" are a constant source of concern....
