Well i'm in London so i'd prefer anywhere along the Virgin rail line - London, Milton Keynes, Birmingham or Manchester! (although the further away, the more likely i'll need to scrounge accommodation!)

Yeah, we'd have to consider the cost of trains and accommodation and the like. I'd be okay with London though, so long as we planned enough in advance that I can book a cheap train and Travelodge or something.

This would require the meetup to start at 10.03am on a Friday...and would be creepy. He'd recognise dimtimjim from the last time he stalked him in the cafe.

And if Dave was there he would recognise me from the book signing and probably run off screaming :)

And Matt Fincham would know I was there when he found himself covered in custard...

I should totally have added 'fool' at the end.

No, it was colloquial. I cannot stand camping. Did it when I went to festivals in my late teens, far too old and arthritic for that sort of caper now. Plus there's nowhere to plug in my hair straighteners.

I don't do camping. I need a real bed, a proper PRIVATE toilet and bathroom and solid walls. And central heating. And somewhere comfy to sit. And a kitchen with electricity and a kettle. I'll bring my own tea bags and milk.

Would be cool but seeing I live across the sea, it would be pretty tricky for myself unless any of you are willing to come to Belfast, which I doubt.

There's no limit as to how many you can choose - thought it would be the best way as then everyone could just exclude the places where they wouldn't want to trek to.

I went for Manchester, London, MK, Birmingham and Southampton.

Is going to one of the more coastal towns not favouring some over others? For example, Southampton would be a nightmare for Nic... My vote went on the central locations, B'ham, London or Milky Beans.

London > Birmingham for venues and access IMO.

I put the variety of locations in the interest of fairness, and allowing for some freak coincidence where everyone may find it easy to get to a certain area.

I think this should be the first poll - then take the top 2-3 suggestions and poll them up too.

I bet Al would join us in Bummingham too... But I like the thinking Zootsbury, Londinium would heighten chances of 'Show visitor'... Be great if Al brought Fingers Finchy with 'im too.

hmm...i doubt that aled would take (what would most likely be) a saturday night to meet up with forum guys - his social calendar must have something more interesting than that on it. but i'd probably enjoy meeting you lot and having a few drinks rather than having everyone hover to an individual (unless that individual is me - then it's fine).

who would you guys most want to have a few drinks with from here?
