I've been on foreign holidays - Spain, Majorca, Greek Islands, Morocco - the usual stuff. Been to the USA twice too. But I don't have any burning desire to go abroad either. We went to France last year and loved the place we stayed so much we are going again this year, but I'd have been just as content to have gone to Devon.

Forgive my awful Jade Goody-style geography, but Devon is near Cornwall, isn't it? I went to Cornwall once - the only holiday I ever had with my parents - and it took 9 hours to get there. Much as I love you all, I couldn't travel that far. I am very travel-sick.

By the way Nicola I'm surprised you've never had an incling to go abroad, I'd though you would have doen for some reason. I went to Hong Kong in 2009, a superb place which I hope to visit again this year (although that depends on whether or not I still have a job later this year, changes afoot in our firm apparently )

Yeah, it's just one of those things. We never went on any holidays of any sort when I was a kid as we couldn't afford it, so it's just something I grew up not anticipating or wanting. I do also get very homesick and travel sick, but those things wouldn't stop me going abroad if I really wanted to, I'm just not bothered. Although if the housemate and I get married as each other's back-ups, we're gonna do it in Vegas.
