I only saw it a few times. The highlight that has stuck in my mind all these years later is Denise Van Outen trying to interview an actress and stating that the character she played was called 'Gritty' when in fact what her notes said was that the show was a "gritty drama". She definitely didn't peak early in her career.

I don't. Always found her irritating. I'm not sure who's worse, her or Kelly Brook. They both have this awful unjustified smugness about them.

I would agree. I used to love JV on Big Breakfast, he comes across as a complete arse now with the goings on with Denise VO. Two sides to every story though I guess!

Johnny was on Bacon's show today, proving beyond any doubt that he can still talk the hind leg off a donkey! He completely took over the show, butting into every segment he possibly could, and even stayed around for the recording of the Podcast afterwards. I haven't heard much of him at all since The Big Breakfast ended and it reminded me how much I enjoy his broadcasting style. They mentioned the Denise-Bacon interview, but Johnny brushed it off saying that she knows he loves her and would happily work with her again. He blamed Richard in a jokey way for pushing her during the interview in order to get headlines, which resulted in her iffy comments about him.

He also said that he's read he'd been offered the job hosting The Big Breakfast if/when it comes back, and said nobody has contacted him, but if they want to then he'd be well up for it. Richard said he'd do it too, and they were talking about some of the bizarre things that happened when they were working on the show together. Brought back so many memories, from when my mornings were all about tv and not radio!
