I love the idea of an entire nation banging on about independence for decades until the English finally says "you know what, we WANT you to leave!" and the Scots go "nah, we'll just stay".

That actually has me laughing on a very busy bus.

Ah - I actually hate the idea of the UK breaking up. I like the tension of the relationships and what the hell, I think the Scots are cool, my most common experience of Scottish people is that they are hilarious, friendly, and just want a laugh. Combine that with the underlying aggression that you can sense and they are usually brilliant company, as long as you stay on your toes. As for the Welsh, well they are sweet, and people from Northen Ireland have lovely accents. What more can you ask of a Union?

I agree totally Yuds, I'd hate for Union to break up, I like it, it's fairly unique & it'd be shame for it to end, Northern Ireland will probably eventually merge back with Southern Ireland, although on that subject I have a question, from what my Southern Irish friend told me if over 50% of Northern Ireland is populated by Catholics then they have to vote as to whether or not they want to join back with the South. Now he could be talking bollocks but he was so serious when he mentioned it I'm not entirely sure if he's telling the truth or not.
