I don't like Grimshaw. He sounds like he's half asleep all the time.

I can't imagine Chris taking such a demotion.

Thats a bit harsh.I think this week proved he can turn his hand to anything and might want to stick around to do afternoons or weekends for a couple of years before moving on. Of course he might want to leave altogether and go off to radio 5 live or something. It's up to him.I do think its unlikely that they'll have Chris and Scott both on the weekday line up after 2014 though,so Scott will probably have to move on if Chris stays.

Mark & Lard did, they went from nights, to breakfast to afternoons, where they did better there than Breakfast, I for one wouldn't mind Chris back on in the afternoon once he decides he's had enough of Breakfast

M&L never wanted breakfast though, bear in mind they were so worried about it that they asked for (and got) a 100% pay rise to take the job, and even then they lasted all of 7 months - afternoons were their natural home. Everyone knows that Chris considered breakfast to be the pinnacle of his career at R1 even before he got there, and I really think he'd see going back to something like afternoons a real step down.
