It is simply the best thing on the radio. I think anybody who moans about it should listen to Capital Breakfast for a week and then you'll realise how great the show really is.

On the other hand if the critism is constructive then I can't see a problem with that.

What a ludicrous thread. Most, if not all, of the criticism I have read has been constructive.

You know what, DevilsDuck, some of us like to give opinions and we like to give solutions as well. Not everything is great all of the time.

All of us here are fans of the show, none more so than me, but if opinions that you may feel are negative need to be said, then some of us will say them.

If Nicola does a lot of maintenance here and is an ardent fan is she not entitled to give opinions or ask questions? Maintenance itself is needed for great things like this show all year round, doesn't matter whether you're big ben (not our ben) or blackpool tower.

I feel like I've contributed to the Moany quota recently , and for this I apologize.
I am a huge fan of Chris and the show . I'm 20 and I've listened to him since 1998 , so quite a big chunk of my life has been Moyles-filled.
I just feel the show has lost it's spark recently.
that is all.
maybe it's me that needs a holiday, not the team....

I love the show. The odd few who have come on here moaning recently only highlighing themselves as silly-billys.

"I don't like guests" is never followed up by "Maybe the other 99% of listeners (some 7,000,000+ people) like guests and this week of BBC radio production isn't aimed directly at me and just me" - as an example and not a direct attack on an individual.

The CMS is still easily the best show about, and the recent GJ cover by Chris highlighted that he can carry it off with changed circumstances and show format.

The futures bright, the futures less-'rolly polly'-than-before-Moyles.

Can you imagine how much better a Chris & Dave podcast in the Ricky Gervais style, that was separate from the show would be? If they were freed from the R1 constraints, playlist & corporate bullshit that they have to suffer now.

Keeping the positive theme going, think in years to come the current show will be looked back on as a golden era for Radio1. It's hard to imagine another show being allowed to be as unique as the CM show is currently, so we should just enjoy it while we can!
