Vaughans back on the radio,and hes going national.Starting in july he will present Avsolute Radios drivetime show, initially to cover the olympic games, but there is talk-and lets just pray it has no basis in fact- that he could take over their breakfast show. I would rather Moyles took over just to stop Johnny Vaughan getting it!

I have never heard of Absolute Radio. I have however heard of - and deeply enjoy - Absolut Vodka. Is it similar?

I hope Chris NEVER goes there as it's shite. I have to listen to it at work and seriously wish we could bring are own CDs' in. The worst selection of songs from a collegue would be a ton and half better than the stodge they play on Absolute. And I have no idea where they drag the djs' from. They are all the genuine article of Chris' Dj parody interpratation.

Except I quite liked Virgin Radio. A few of my local stations jocks ended up there for a while, bit of a blast from the past.

Now everything everywhere is Heart but that's another rant for another time.

We often have Absolute Radio 80s or 90s on in the office and they're okay, but that's cos they're almost solely music. On the odd occasion I've caught some of the breakfast show before they change to 80s/90s for the day, it's sounded like absolute shite.

Absolute 80's & 90's are actually rather decent if you just want music & less chatter. However I did like the old Virgin Radio, there was two shows in particular I liked, Mark Fox who was a completely barmy DJ that was on in the silly hours of the morning (after 1am, back in 2001 I was a College Student & then unemployed for just over a year from August that year so listened to radio at that time of the morning) & Jon Holmes who was employed by Virgin Radio to be controversial & cross the line & when he did and they got into trouble they sacked him. Thankfully he now does a show on Saturday's on 6Music & a good show it is to.

I really like Absolute Radio.. the playlist is sort of a cross between Radio 2 and Planet Rock, they won't play the same song twice in a day (I believe) and even the adverts aren't too often. I hardly ever listen because most of the time when I listen to the radio, either Chris Moyles or Simon Mayo is on (and I can't get Absolute in the car when they're not on), but on the occasions I have listened, I've really liked it.

I can't afford Grey Goose. I dream of Grey Goose. Mostly though I make do with Russian Standard or Eristoff. Even when cost is an issue, I won't stoop to 37.5%.

Smirnoff Black is pretty epic stuff, and a bit more affordable than Grey Goose. Russian Standard is good though

Smirnoff Black is excellent - but Russian Standard is cheaper, as is Eristoff.

I can't abide flavoured vodka's though.

If you want a good vodka, you should try Chase. It's made from English potatoes, and it's awesome. It's better than Smirnoff; however I've not tried Grey Goose.
