So, what tracks did those one hit wonders try to replicate their success with the second time around? You know the drill...

Does that count as musical knowledge masturbation?

I hope you were thinking about Rachel Riley and not Nick Hewer whilst you were doing it..........

It's the Deep Blue Somethings with "Halo". The very unsuccesful follow up to their worldwide smash "Breakfast at Tiffany's".

Ta. I think I'm gonna go with Undressed by White Town - the no57 smash follow-up to their (well, his) no1 'Your Woman'.

I'm having enough trouble thinking of one hit wonders, let alone what their second hits might have been! I may need a day or so on this one...

"Weird Al" Yankovic - Fat

I'm justifying this choice as, according to Wikipedia, Weird Al has only had one top 40 hit in the UK, that being Eat It, his first release reaching number 36. The next single to chart was Fat, which reached number 80, therefore not a hit.

That's really odd cos I knew Fat long before I bought any Weird Al albums - I was just assuming it had been a hit here. I wonder if it got a lot of airplay?

OK.

I'll play.

Nizlopi, Girls.

I was in two minds about posting this...as I think it sounds like a ten year-old messing about with some DJ equipment for the first time. :D I apologise for hurting your ears.

My choice is....Mr Oizo, Last Night a DJ Killed My Dog. Remember Mr Oizo?

Awful, awful song. Although saying that, Flat Beat wasn't exactly a musical masterpiece either.

Not a great deal of choice this week, but the poll is up.

On a side-note I seem to only be logging on to this site to update the GHG recently, I definitely need to get back into it...
