The old opener (which I sent into chris AGES ago) was a custom made track for the show which you won't be able to get.

For your information, it was called "Moylesised" and, like most of R1's stuff since about '96/'97 was made by Vibe Music & Audio Imaging

It was also used as a background music in ITV's "Im' a celebrity get me out of here" when Rhona was voted off and they showed her highlights.

This track is actually called "Fatman" and was written by Sonic UK. Its a great guitar riff and the trick to make it sound so groovy was to tune the bottom E down to D...er....I reckon.....;-)

doing that doesn't usually make something sound "Groovy" its a heavy metal tuning, ity makes things sound heavy and bassy!

Just checked out this guy's profile. he claims to play much of the guitar on the chris moyles beds! PROVE IT, if it is true you will have a copy of said song, whether it is called FATMAN or MOYLESISED and you will be able to email it to whoever wants it, who wants it?..................................

Are you mad Count0Zero? why look elsewhere for it if SonicGit can give you a free copy with no more searching needed?

The search has already failed. And i have already asked sonicGit for a copy. I was searching on the p2p stuff, y'know kazaa, winmx. I usually like to see if there are many different versions (apparently not in this case). I got absolutley nothing. This Sonic UK who are they? They don't even have a web site but their tune is damned Funky!

It's because they are a production music company, and compose music specificaly for broadcast and production use. That's why you'll not be able to find a clean copy on kazzaa or anything - its not intended for release.

So how in the world are you expected to get a full copy of "Fatman" or any other music that's created by these producers if you have nothing to do with radio or television broadcasting? That is my big question

You're not supposed to: that is the big answer.

They are created for use in the industry, not for general release. They don't create these things with the intention of them being made "publicaly available"

Fair enough, it was a good try. I'm still not completely giving up. Thanks for the sound file SonicGit and thanks for everyone's replies.

Maybe the producers should make them commercially available. A compilation CD or something. What do you think?

No. From an 'industry' point of view, for the exact reason you're asking for them.

If I use a piece of music as a promo or trail bed, for features or whatever, its nice to have something different. If these 'different' things were commercialy available they wouldnt be different anymore and so would lose their 'edge'.

Also, it would cost much more to make them commercialy available, and they probably wouldnt make this money back.

Some of them do make a compilation CD. Vibe studios do but i don't think any of the radio 1 stuff is on it. It might be random material. Anyway i e-mailed sonic studios and they haven't replied, suprise suprise.
