A band that we've seen a lot of over the weeks on the GHG, choose your favourite Green Day tracks now, and sorry for the delay in the new game.

Hmm. Lots to choose from, almost went with Geek Stink Breath, but wanted something from American Idiot, as it's such an outstanding album. I think I'll go for Homecoming (I'll post YouTube later if I remember).

This is such a hard choice for me. Think I have to go for Jesus of Suburbia, simply because the American Idiot album was the first Green Day album
I ever heard and turned me into a big fan. And that song is brilliant.

Brilliant album song from Dookie. Some decent vocal harmonies in the chorus for a punk band!

Green Day aren't and never have been a punk band. The Americans might like to think they are, but anyone who was around in England at the end of the seventies knows far, far better.

Nade pinched my entry to this jazz so I shall not be entering and voting for that instead.

You must look back at your 30's with fondness...!

I do, but that wasn't the seventies. I was about 14 when punk - proper punk - hit. I like Green Day, but punk was a different beast. And I say was because in its true form it only lived for about three years. Much grew from it, Green Day included perhaps, but punk died like it lived - chaotically and fast.

One of my favourite Green Day songs. When I saw them in 2005, it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

Sadly, since Obama came in, there's not much for them to rage against politically - so they've lost their way massively.

To be fair, they weren't particularly political before American Idiot and the Warning album was very average.

Hmmmm, was difficult for me to choose a Green Day song. I don't really like anything they did including and after, American Idiot. Also, my little sister played their albums to DEATH when we were younger, so she killed a lot of their songs for me :(

Therefore, I'm gonna be a rebel and choose a song from their first album, way back in 1990. They sounded a bit different back then! I choose Don't Leave Me.

This thread's reminded me how much I used to love Green Day. Their stuff from the 90s is brilliant.

I know this has been up for a while but I do like to give 24 hours warning before a poll is going to go up, and here that warning is.

Good Riddance is good, but it's been overplayed. Obviously I think mine's the best, but I adhered to rules and went for Basket Case. Overplayed too, I used to play it in my 'band' 8 years ago so I have a soft spot for it.
