I don't know. I'm ripping the 1st half, but it'll take all night (my computer is shit). Then rip 2nd half all day tomorrow hopefully. Then upload overnight on Sat night. So maybe Sunday. If there are no problems. Which there always are.I hate video.

Got interrupted, had a look at the game and saw England had made another goal. That was that last I saw.
Maybe if their alternative commentary viewing numbers are high enough, Chris and Dave will be offered another game to commentate on.

I'll probably use Handbrake or something.

I'd use one of the presets, or customise an existing preset based on how large or HQ you want it to be. Personally I prefer the highest quality you can do. Use the Preview button to see what the encode will look like (ideally on a clip with high motion when the game has started).

If you are having real trouble, I'd be happy to do the encoding if you want to upload the entire DVD or post it. But, I'm sure you'll be able to get good results with a bit of tinkering.

Just watching the Freeview recording now, 70 minutes in. Perfect recording so far, PIP. Will try and upload it overnight ready for download tomorrow morning, but it will be an raw feed, so is likely to be over 1GB. Maybe I'll get the audio feed up before the night is up, maybe in the next hour or so.

I'm ripping my DVD to mp3 now, but it's taking ages (anyone know of a quicker free program than Free DVD MP3 Ripper?). I can probably get it ripped and edited later, and then upload it tonight.
