The comedians are all good - but unfortunately due to the public's polarised reaction to Chris' TV work, it's likely that he'll do a good job - but the people who hate him will be vocal and the format stay the same, replaced with a new, edgy 'BBC Three' style host.

Unless he's brilliant. Which he could be.

Chris is a strange choice, although I suppose he has smoothly transitioned in to a comfortable telly career thanks to Quiz Night. He's looking rather slim too, congrats to him for that.

Just a shame about the comedians really. Mark Watson for one, can't stand the guy.

Was that the chicken man? I liked the chicken man.

This "do you know what I mean" lady is doing my head in though. Just when I start to like her she says "do you know what I mean".

Do you know what I mean?

this may well be a pilot you know , he quipped "we should do this every week!" and just ended with "until the next one, goodbye "

i thought it was alright. the audience itself let the side down i think , no atmosphere to be seen.

This is a quality show, some right good acts - although I see what Chris said this morning about having all his act introductions cut out and also see Daves point that the acts were maybe a little rushed, but love the LatA feel to it. And, as already noted, Chris looking slimmer than ever.

On the iPlayer people, if you get a chance check it oot.

Just finished it, its ruddy great. Few slightly less polished acts, but on the most part, top-notch comedy.

Often comics on the circuit can be better than a lot of the people who have 'made it' from my experience. I saw a brilliant bloke in Milton Keynes last year. I do like Mark Watson though.

I think my favourite new(ish) comedian is Miles Jupp.. I don't normally watch it, but he was on 8 out of 10 Cats the other day and they were talking about the Jubilee; Jimmy Carr was taking the piss out of Miles Jupp for being posher than the Queen and he described the Royal family as "perfectly acceptable house guests", which I found hilarious.

You do realise that Miles Jupp is Archie from Balamory?

I know he did a CBeebies programme from before Reuben was born, as they played a clip of it when he was on Have I Got News For You once.

Do you mean Reuben doesn't watch Ballamory?

He only really watches the Bedtime Hour and sometimes a little bit of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse - when is Ballamory on?
