Erm - of course he is leaving because he wants to leave. If he really wanted to carry on doing the Breakfast show, he would be doing it - I imagine the reason he doesn't might be to do with management imposing themselves on the format and content of the show more than they have done previously, but if he was happy about that, they wouldn't make him leave I don't think.
Things change, and people move on - if the Breakfast show has to change in ways Chris isn't happy with, then clearly now is the time.
And how exactly does signing a petition saying that I disagree with his decision saying that I care? Of course I care, but how is attempting to stop someone doing what they want to do a caring act?
