The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I think that's a nice idea to do anyway with the handwritten messages but my handwriting is ghastly that they wouldn't know what I was saying! I don't feel right putting something down considering I've slagged some parts of the show over the past 3 years and felt that the show hasn't been great this year on a whole but hopefully the last few months make the show go out with a bang!

Of course it won't be mandatory! But Emmy's point about handwritten messages is a good one. I would like people who feel they can write to a legible standard to do it. Darro, it's up to you if you want to contribute, I don't want anyone to feel pressured either way.

I'd like to place a message, but I won't be handwriting it. I have a mental Learning Condition called dyspraxia that has really messed with my hand-eye co-ordination... ergo, horrible handwriting. xD

I don't think you should let that stop you. I'm very guilty of slagging off parts of the show and indeed the whole show numerous times, as have many other people here, but I think in most cases that only goes to show how passionate we are about it. It's because we care about and love the show so much that we want to to be the best that it can be, and get frustrated when we feel (in our own infinite wisdom obviously) that 'it could do better' in some way. If we simply felt like 'yawn, no one cares' then we wouldn't bother to say anything at all.

For me, now that I know the end is nigh all is forgiven and I doubt I would be able to bring myself to criticise anything they do during these last few weeks! It may be a cliche but that doesn't make it any less true, we really don't know what we've got 'til it's gone.

Also a quick question for those saying that their handwriting is illegible, are you talking about cursive or printed writing? I'm amazed at how few adults I know who use cursive writing when we (or in my own case anyhow) spent so long learning to do it in school. I can still remember the excitement of the day I was told by my teacher that I could finally get rid of my pencil and start using a fountain pen! And yes, I do know how sad that sounds.

I learned how to handwrite when I was seven and the style hasnt really changed (I'm 30 now). It still looks like a pissed up group of spiders whent on a bender on the paper.

I tend to agree with a lot of what you say, Emmy and I agree with that post 100% as well. I felt guilty about criticising the show as well , but I only did it because I cared so much and wanted it to be better.

I dont want to be critical for the next couple of months either. I made a post earlier this morning that was critical, but deleted it after the announcement as it didnt seem relevent any more and I felt guilty :(

Thanks Travis, and whilst we're all still in shock and in a kind of licky licky brown nose mode about the show and each other I'll take the opportunity to say that I usually agree with your posts too, as they make a lot of sense. In fact, I think that as a general rule the regular posters on this site are a notch above your average internet forum poster, with most making well written and insightful posts the majority of the time. A lot of the posts today from both the old faithfuls, semi-regulars, and newbies have been been really lovely and even managed to soften my hard cold heart. All of us Morons should give ourselves a pat on the back on this momentous day!

Then tomorrow we can all go back to slagging off the show and sniping at each other.

How are such contributions to be made? I definitely want to do something, will there be guidance about size etc or is it a free for all?! And how do we get stuff to you Nic (this may have been covered earlier - if so, sorry, I haven't read every page of a lot of threads since the news broke).

Thanks, Nicola.
Looking forward to seeing the fantastic end result in all your hard work. ^_^

Hey JRT-UK-NZ, I am in Switzerland and I thought I will write something and scan it and then send it to Nicola. I hope this is okay, maybe you can do something like that as well?
