The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

As we come to the end of the show - has anyone been fortunate enough to appear on the show at any point?

I was forunate enough to appear on the Monday night pub quiz about 5 years ago when they had callers. Was great fun. Being a Geordie, naturally I was mocked with the old "Fishy on a dishy" and Byker Grove mallarky - but it was great fun and not at all nerve racking is it probably should be.

I got 5 out of 5 (along with Carrie)...if anyone cares! :D

There's a member mentions section in the sound vault, but quite a lot of them are just former posters now. I've never been one to call or text in, mainly cos I'm always running around getting ready for work. When Zoot, Chrysostom and the others went down for the focus group thingy they reported back that Matt Fincham had mentioned my name in relation to all the work I do on the sound vault, and that was enough for me :)

I've had my name read out a couple of times for various things over the years...

The day I went to the Focus Group they were talking about my username, then they found out it was also slang for a spliff (Which I din't know) so they took the piss out of it for ages. i think it's in the sound vault somewhere.

Also, thanks to the amazing people on this here Forum, I got a wedding card signed by the entire team.

I had a mention on the Golden Hour once, never been so giddy in my life! There was a time when you could watch online and send messages that appeared on the screen??? I can't remember what it was for, but I was on there too. I also entered one of the 'competitions' to go the the big brother house with the team. I had a call back from Pippa to check that I was free to go the next day and that Chris may call me back, 'please do not swear', but I think the fact that her call had woken me up and therefore I sounded pretty vague was the decider that I wouldn't make great radio. I was gutted!

Chris asked a question on the afternoon show and I emailed him the answer (back in the day when email worked!). He read out the answer and said thanks to me. I'm not sure what year it was, probably around 2002.

I also got one of my posts read out on air when Chris was late for the show when they were in the cottage Um Mangor. That wasn't Good Times, was it, TravisBickle? 8O

Oh God, I've had a post read out too during an argument about an increase in listener numbers. Footloose (speaking of which, where is the old bag?) and I were discussing the announced increase and Chris took umbrage with our doubts about the figures. Thank God he didn't read out my name. Another person who knows that experience only too well is Ballbag - now there's a long-forgotten name, and coincidentally, I notice it's his birthday today. I should really try to date the 'flat tyre publicity stunt' incident so I can clip it.

Chris has read out or mentioned a couple of my posts on here, but had one rant (I hate that word, but it'll do for these purposes) about us moaning about his frequent lateness a couple of years ago and mentioned me by my username and read out my posts.

It still makes me cringe

I met Chris when he was doing a book sighning for his second book in Bluewater. I went on my own (Back in the days of not having panic attacks) and I had my hands full with his book (Which was the second time I bought it and I have the audio book) and other random shopping. As I approached him He put out his hand to shake mine when I had to swap my hands of holding the bags. I said "I'm cack handed". He replied with "I'm Chris". It brought a smile to my face but I shut right up then (I was just a tad star struck). His dad was there and I stopped to talk to him. Afterwards I felt like a right prat for what I said to him (Chris' dad) and I still regret that to this very day.

And when they where doing the face your fears week Aled said someone on Moyles.net had a theory of the order they where going to do it in (It was surnames - Never ended up being true). That someone was me. They never mentioned my username from here but I will always know that he was on about me. That will always put a smile on my face. I would love it if they do mention my name (username on here or even better, my real name) but I would die a happy man knowing I was acknowledge.

I got read out on the Golden Hour. Chris sadly read the message wrongly and I ended up sounding like I wanted to get with Dom on a romantic level. It took Dom by surprise and you can hear him off mic saying"WHAT" after Chris finished reading it.

I still have the text message on my phone with the date if anyone can be bothered to find it for me. 24th Feb 2012 about 9:08

Quincy wrote:Had some of my hilarious comedy moments talked about by Chris. A highlight was being descibed as "socialy inadequate" by Dave Vitty. Happy times.

The thing is Dave is right in a description about me. I am definatley socialy inadequate.
