So. I'm looking for a way that I can continue to wake up to Moyles. What I really want is a device that will play an mp3 as an alarm, to replicate the experience of the radio just coming on and the show being on air.

Does anyone have such a device? And nothing that involves docking or using an ipod, as I don't have one. So far all I can find is an alarm clock that will hold a whole 12 minutes of mp3!

Seems to take a memory card for sticking mp3's onto.

If, as I understand, you have an Android phone, you can make a folder on your MicroSD card called 'alarms' and stick MP3s in there - you can then select them as your alarm sounds, but I don't know how long they play for - I would imagine there's an app that'll do what you want, even if the standard alarm won't though.

I do indeed have an android. I may experiment with that before I pay out for something new...ta.

Alarm Clock Plus and Gentle Alarm (Trial version) would appear to do what you want if the standard one doesn't.
