Hear'Say wont be at the Brits leading me to believe they havent won anything and in the minds of people who like music, a warranted move by the Brits committee. They plan to release a new single in April followed 2 weeks later with wait for it, ANOTHER BLOODY ALBUM. In the space of 12 months they will have released 3 albums. No doubt there will be another unwanted remix of Pure & Simple on it again. Elsewhere Kym has signed a solo deal. A stupid company paid a 6 figure number to get her and im frankly surprised. If she cant hack being in a band for 11 months, God help it when she wants out of this contract too.
The Backlash against Will Young will happen sooner rather than later. 2 days before his "Evergreen" is released, he has got a one hour Special with guests. Now come on, over 4 million people voted on the night for him, you'd think that alone would get him to number 1. Its just the song aint strong enough. When you hear the words "Westlife album track", it doesnt bode well, we all know how tedious, boring and soppy their first choice number 1's are like. So this push is like one of them paid adverts in a paper designed for television. His album is also being rushed out choc-a-block with all the forgetful covers he did, before the attention span of a goldfish viewers forget who he is. The record companies treat the buyers like fools, and in a way they are correct.

Speaking of the Brits somehow after a year of touring the states and shaving his very accurate beard Craig David is up for 3 awards? anyways between this years brits and last years he has released sweet FA. Because he, Elton John and Dave Bowers kicked up such a stink expect him to pick up an award.

Hear'Say, Craig David and Robbie are all not attending. Apparantly the Brits say that its like 16 month year instead of a 12 month meaning that everything from October 2000 can be included. Problem is

Craig David album was out way before that
Atomic Kitten up for best newcomer even though debut hit was in 1999 (the argument here being that cos Jenny replaced Kerry, they are deemed as new, that said then Oasis could be up in Best Newcomer then as Gem and Andy Bell joined them).

Remember the good ol' years
94: Blur 4 gongs
95: Oasis 3 Gongs
96: Manics 2 gongs

Oh well hopefully the Strokes will be big winners picking up 3 but no White Stripes?
