Any know what week in August Chris & the team have off?

I'm doing a lot of travelling one week in August and would hate not to be able to listen to him!

Scott Mills announced yesterday that he's in Edinburgh for the festical the week starting monday august 13, which is the first week of Moyles holidays. That must mean that Vernon or Coxy is sitting in that week, which will probably mean Dave will only get the 2nd week off. I don't suppose he'll mind since he finishes in september anyway though

I think it should be Mills. I never listen to him but it would still feel like the Moyles era of the breakfast show though. Nick should only go into that slot when it his time to take over completley. It would be unfair somehow on Nick.
Regardless of whether any of us will listen Grimmy when he takes over I am resighned to the fact that Radio 1 is moving on. I wish him all the best.

I very much doubt Greg James feels it will be a 'consolation prize'. He only got drive in April, so would have been a stupid decision to move him again.

Radio 1 will keep Greg in Drive for the time being, and i'm sure he'll get his time on breakfast after Grimshaw.

I'm just assuming that when Nick is doing breakfast they'll want someone closer to his age as a stand in.Might be Greg, or even Fearne or someone else. When Terry Wogan did the breakfast show on radio 2 Johnnie Walker was his regular stand in, but when Chris Evans took over they used someone else as holiday cover. I guess they thought Johnnie didn't fit the style of Evans. I'm just assuming it wil be the same principle on Radio One

Greg is most likely to do holiday cover for Grimmy, much like Scott usually does it for Chris.

Suppose that's because Greg and Grimmy are both solo-presenter, whereas Chris and Scott and both 'Zoo Format'.

Can anyone confirm which week (or weeks) they are on holiday? And who's away, who's filling in etc? I'm not interested in Scott Mills Chris Moyles Show or anything like that, but I could tolerate Vernon with the team, and I would very much enjoy Sara Cox with the team.

Yeah, the whole team are off. I think there are separate threads about Vernon covering one week and Scott the next, but I get in trouble if I do too much merging
