As per Aleds request this is our thread for suggestions for what elements we would like to see for the final show.

I've remained very mute on the breaking of the news myself. Because as we all know. He isn't leaving radio 1. So we will all have the pleasure of Chris and whoever joins him in the new slot he gets.

So your suggestions for the final show.

If Aled wants it to be a studio show then I'm limited in what I can suggest apart from on big screens across country and then the highlights broadcast on primetime BBC1.

Ben said Wembley and it would be desired in terms of going bigger and better than ever before, but that's unlikely?

Yeah I'd like him to go out with a very high profile televised bang, personally.

I know people won't like this one - but I'd really like to see classic friends of the show, Alan Carr, Sharon/Ozzy and maybe even Schofe? As well as the line up from over the years if possible, with the sport read by the girls from over the years.

Maybe some sentimental value. Make it the final ever show at yeilding house before handing over to fern at the new studios.

My other suggestions.

As others have said. Every breakfast team member from history. Including joss. Jules. Greyhead. Carrie. Rachael. Matt. Sam.

Maybe a extended show for a proper send off. Give fern the day off.


Maybe Aled can ask Chris his top 10 moments. And us at cm.net vote on the.best moment and play it out in full. (providing its not too long. Like a particular link)

Visulise the show is probably going to be a certainty.

For Dave to either bring back or create a new one of his amazing games, and to play a final round of the internal phone system game. I know that it won't go this way, because quite naturally you'll want it to be an extraordinary spectacle of a show, but I would like for it to just be a celebration of lots of the classic bits and pieces you've done over the years, with no guests apart from old CMS members.

An extended show, red button coverage, former show team members (although Carrie is having a baby in September), old features revisited - will keep thinking!

The show should run from 6:30 til 11 with all the old favourites returning at regular intervals. I think less is more in the case of the last show, don't overdo the celebs guests. I'd much rather hear from Carrie and Rachel than hear from Gino or Alan Carr.

One idea for a feature would be to try and get each member of the team to cry by playing clips etc. I demand tears.

I would like to see a section of the show where people can request their favourite audio clips from the show's history e.g. 'Boobs is what they want' or 'I can see it, I can see it moving'. The clips I can recall of this ilk tend to be very short so they should be able to get a few in.

I'd also rather there were no 'celebrity', guests, I think the final show should be about the current team and former members of the team. Last thing we want is the final show being dominated by Ollie Murs, Tulisa and Davina Mccall.

Weirdly, a lot of their regular guests I really don't like - Davina is a prime example. But I'm guessing they may want her involved. And Gary Barlow.

Someone asked Aled on twitter if anyone is the studio was crying whilst Chris was making his announcement, and his reply was 'Everyone' (I assume he meant excluding Chris), so I don't think such a feature would even be necessary! Aled will probably create a waterfall all of his own. I don't think Chris is a big crier, but then I wouldn't want him to cry, it just wouldn't seem right to me.

I got the impression that is why Chris read out the leaving statement the way he did. I was honestly waiting for the punchline when he read it out. I just didnt think he was being serious.

When I read it afterwards though, I thought it was perfectly worded and heartfelt.

Can I please put in a request for an appearance by McFly if the last show is a Friday, I agree with Nic, can we have a Tedious, and please please please can we have one last classic LET'S GET READY TO RAAAAMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And all the ex-team members in the studio for one last "Thank you!" "Thank you"! etc..... Ah I miss those days...

I would like to see Carrie, Rachel, Juliette, Sam, Matt, Jocelyn etc to come back in one form or another because Carrie I know is having a baby around that time so even have an audio clip of her or something would be fine. I hope the final week is all visualised because we all know how fun and addicting it can be especially with the marathon show.

I know Davina is a fan of the show but I do not want her at all because I just can't stand her whatsoever but she will probably be there in the final week or around that time anyway. I would like to see long, forgotten features brought back for a one-off like Buzz off, Ramble (wish they still did those) etc. Vote for your favourite parody and moment as well. I just hope we feel it goes out with a bang rather than a whimper.

In many ways this year's Birthday Show felt like quite an epic conclusion, so if we can replay those live jingle sessions again that would be good.

Roy Walker in the studio for a proper interview too, perhaps. One last CPC with celebs and favourite Roy moments such as Dr Who etc.

I know it will go against what chris may want. But have the friends I'd the show during the week and have leave the final show as just them. And all currant and past team members.

I've already mentioned it. But we all deserve a extended show. And hopefully red button as well.

I reckon it's gonna be live streamed cause was just listening to the show on wednesday and when Chris was talking to Fern aled pipped in "Live Streamed"

Bring back Buzz off and maybe some old features. Some old memories from the show maybe old members of the team

Deff an extended show. Maybe a golden hour but Chris and team choses the song they want to remind them of the breakfast time show.

Another (maybe quite strange) thing I'd like would be to hear short recollections from some of the team's nearest and dearest who we regularly hear about but rarely or never actually hear from (such Chris' parents, Dom's wife and possibly his kids, Emile, Aled's mum, dad and sister 'Malaria', not sure of who for Dave and Tina) of their best memories, favourite bits etc. of the show, and also to find out their thoughts on the unintentional 'fame' they gained over the years by having little bits of their lives discussed on air for 8 million odd listeners to hear. I think we already know Emile's thoughts on this, but I'd be interested to hear those of the others, partly because personally I know that I'd hate to be in that situation and if I knew a team member I would have had to banned them from ever even mentioning my name on the radio!

I think I'd like the last show to be normal. Yeah there's all sorts we want to see them do again, but they've got over 2 months to bring back old features and popular guests etc.

One request I would want though, is for the remaining shows to be on the webcam.
