Excuse me count0zero, but you're really not getting this.

These companies deal with some of the biggest and best broadcasting companies in the world. They spend thousands and thousands of pounds on putting together producton and imaging material for them, all of which they protect through copyright with every resource they have.

They employ the best in the industry - imaging producers, musicians, sound engineers, recording artists and vocalists.

They are not going to waste their valuable time putting jingles and music on a CD so that a few fans can sit at home playing Radio 1 jingles in their bedroom. Sorry to be so harsh, but it's true. Not only would this waste their time and their money, but jeapordises their material - even if it's got audio copyright tags all over it, other people could quite easily take samples out of it to use on their own stuff - samples which have cost hundreds and taken ages to produce.

Most companies put demos on their web sites - that is all you will get.

Get over it.

I understand you completely Mr. Drummer, and do not worry, i am not that sad as to be listening to jingles in my bedroom.

But this is a talking point and i do not think that it would be a waste of time and money. Ok fair enough, they do not want their sounds to be used anywhere else, and they have these loyal customers such as Radio 1 who would also not want these sounds they have payed for be used anywhere else.

It would not be a waste of time and money because some of the stuff they produce is good stuff, as you said they employ the best. It may be backing music but i wonder how many people would like to get their hands on some of that material, and what would be the harm of the company making a few quid on the side with the stuff they do not need any more? With permission from the company who they made it for of course.

Count0zero, sonic git came by the mp3 snippet because, if you read the thread earlier, he played the guitar on it. If you play on a bit of music you get a copy of it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spain France, so is it not correct to add next in my line of questioning, would i be able to get a full copy of the tune and not just a snippet. Are you generous SonicGit? If i played the guitar on a nice little piece of music i would be quite annoyed if all i got back was a snippet.

To SonicGit only: would you be able to get me a full copy of the tune?...please

and i said the magic word unless you happen to abide by different magic words.

Seemed to have created a bit of a discussion here! I'll talk to my contact at Sonic Studios and see what I can do. Can't promise anything though!

Yes but you heard the man. He is having a word with his contact. Now he could be just saying that to shut me up, but that wouldn't be very nice. I appreciate the fact that he probably has to ask the company if he can give it to anyone.
