So you think (or know?) you have every show from 2004 until now (including the ones where Vernon Kay or Sara Cox stood in), and the only ones you are missing are Friday 16th November 2007 and Thursday 19th - Wednesday 25th March 2009? And if that's the case, would you be prepared to distribute some shows on a DVD for editing and uploading, so we can fill in the gaps?

I have Jamie's 2007 shows, and it doesn't include Friday 16th November 2007 either. And I think Jamie has all of 2009 too, so maybe he has Thursday 19th - Wednesday 25th March 2009.

It would be great if we only needed to try and get Friday 16th November 2007 (if it exists) and Thursday 19th - Wednesday 25th March 2009 from Aled.

Yeah, that's the one that I have missing. The official website says there was a show that day - http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chrismoyles ... 1116.shtml , although if that's a spelling mistake on the website, then it would explain why no-one has it. Maybe this show was never put on the iPlayer - I can see that the next week and for the rest of the year I started recording from the Freeview stream, I'd have probably done that because I couldn't get the show from the iPlayer.

How did you obtain your archive, were you recording the webstreams like I was, or recording to physical media like Mike was?

EDIT: Oh wow, just had a look at your Excel sheet - what a fantastic piece of work that is. I'll have a look through it and see if I can spot any differences to what I have.

Hi.

I've concentrated on the ones with Chris and the team rather than the stand-ins. Although I do have the week in August 2011 with Sara Cox and the ones in March 2009 when Vernon deputised whilst Chris was climbing Kilimanjaro.

Just listening to the 15th November 2007 to see if there's anything mentioned about the 16th. Nothing mentioned and there's also a page on the BBC page http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0085v2h

More than happy to share to complete the whole archive.

Just the usual recording of the webstream from iplayer. Using various techniques throughout the years.

You might notice from the spreadsheet that I've filled my collection with some of your edited versions when I haven't been able to d/l them myself (when I've been on holiday). Annoyingly I'm probably going to miss the upcoming very last week of shows as I'll be on holiday again. Luckily technology has advanced enough and I'll be able to VPN to home to download them all anyway.

P.S. Even more OCD tendencies - for all of the shows with guests I've even added a picture to the mp3 tag to show up in my itunes library. That's why the album name column includes the name of the guest!

OK, I've got everything for 2004 that p3x595 has.

2005 - ah, I see why you're figures are different to mine for 2005, you have the Jo Whiley fill in at Glastonbury in with the original breakfast show - I have them as two separate shows. Other than that, I have everything you have.

I've been here - just generally lurking ;-)

One slight anomaly whilst I'm here.

Generally their holidays include 2 weeks in October. However in 2009 I've only got a one week break between the Friday show on the 16th and the next Monday show on the 26th. Anyone any ideas why it was only one week? Possibly something to do with the Uganda week in late November the same year?

2006 - p3x595, I'd like to know what your 2006-04-17-r1moyles_mon is. That was a bank holiday, Reggie yates was billed in the listings. I don't have it, and the first link from Tue 18th April is full of "We're back" mentions and jingles. Also the first instance of Joel Gold I think., which is great! The May 22 show was hosted by JK and Joel with the Moyles team.

2007 - p3x595, you have a show on March 19, 2007 - I don't have it, and the listings have it down as a Fearne and Reggie show.

As for the October 2009 show, yeah Uganda could be a reason. He also took time off in March to climb Kilimanjaro, although he did work longer than usual for April, then shorter for usual in May. He did less shows in 2009 than any other year.

Oops. Yes it's the Reggie Yates stand-in show. I've deleted it from my collection!!

Again - good spot. Deleted :-)

2009 - p3x595, I have the 5 shows you're missing if you want them. 2nd - 10th March were hosted by Vernon with the team as Chris was up a mountain. Can you please upload the following shows as I don't have them in audio form, just the online videos, which are missing bits here and there. 29/06/09, 30/06/09, 01/07/09, 15/07/09, 16/07/09, 17/07/09, 20/07/09, 21/07/09, 22/07/09, 23/07/09, 24/07/09, 27/07/09, 28/07/09, 29/07/09, 30/07/09, 31/07/09. 10-14th August shows are with Vernon (with the Moyles team?).

2010 - 19th April, Chris was scheduled to be on the air, but was stuck in New York due to the volcanic ash - Scott filled in, but were the rest of the team there with him? Aug 31 + Sep 1 - Vernon and the team, Chris was ill. Sep 2+3, Sara and the team, Chris was ill.

2011 - I have everything you have.

2012 - I have everything you have.

My initial spreadsheet had two extra shows on there by mistake. So my final figures are:

2004 - 221 [+2 CM Specials]
2005 - 216 [+2 CM Specials]
2006 - 216 [+1 shows w/o CM, +2 CM Specials]
2007 - 215 [+4 CM Specials]
2008 - 215 [+1 CM Specials]
2009 - 202 [+18 shows w/o CM]
2010 - 210 [+9 shows w/o CM, +2 CM Specials]
2011 - 213 [+7 shows w/o CM, +19 CM specials]
2012 - 141 [+6 CM Specials, +14 shows to go]

Totals (including rem. 14 shows):
1863 Chris Moyles Breakfast Shows
1898 Breakfast Shows including Chris and/or majority of team
1901 Shows on Radio 1 featuring Chris as host or co-host for at least half of the billed show length.

So basically we'll be able to provide all the breakfast shows with Chris apart from that one show - Friday 16th November 2007, which I reckon was never put on the iPlayer or Listen Again or whatever it was known as at that time. This thread from that day viewtopic.php?f=28&t=18008 backs that theory up, although it does suggest that the Listen Again stream was working a few days later - did anyone download it and can share?

I'm also missing 16 of the shows hosted by Vernon and/or Sara with the team.

I remember this. Tina was the only team member but this was because she was doing the news and sport. She wasn't part of any discussion like on TCMS.

I've been listening to TCMS from August 2010 and it's a bit weird hearing Chris and Dave talking about stuff they have been doing with Sophie and Jayne respectively.
On the last show I listened to, it was Dave and Jayne's 2 year anniversary. The team discussed what that meant....paper...cotton?

Chris said "2 years? That means DIVORCE!" :?

I've got the 2nd-10th March 2009 shows. I'm uploading the other shows you mention. Can you private message me your email address so I can send you the link?

I've been recording from freeview/digital all the shows since 5th Sept 2007 and have got that Friday 16th Nov show, i'll try and edit a copy and upload it to the archive thing/site when I can.

Brilliant, thanks hugely. Christ, there's me thinking I'm one of a kind by keeping all this, then we get two people within a week who have been doing the same thing! :D

Didn't ever register that the two dates were connected, if indeed they were. He does sound dreadful on that first show back though, just listening to that first link now.

I have a few older random Freeview recordings and every show (direct, unedited, unrecoded iPlayer rips -- MP3, then AAC) from the 1st of July 2010.
I also have video from most of the video stuff TCMS has done -- whether my rips or from others.

It'd be good to put together a list of everything Chris has done on R1, audio, video etc. Maybe also a set of SFVs or (even better) par2 files to check a collection by year.
I am still leeching some old shows you guyz have saved to archive.org and it needs a tidy up, but my Chris Moyles folder is currently weighing in at:

Ok, this is all great, but also quite confusing :)

If we think we have all but a few shows, then if we can work out what those few are then I will ask Aled if we can get those from him for now, and also mention that we might need some more later if we discover more gaps.

Meanwhile, BM slaphead and I can keep editing our three years, and I'll keep edit the last few upcoming shows, and I'll also start editing the gap shows too. In fact I would probably put 2007 on hold and do the gap ones chronologically first.
