The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

That was a properly perfect way to do the final, final show - no guests other than one geeky one (Paul Turner was an inspired choice) and one brilliant one to make the announcement of how much money they've raised - which in itself is a REMARKABLE achievement. And whoever doesn't know who Richard Curtis is, go and do some research - it was great to hear him talk not only about the show's fundraising, but the show in general in such an affectionate way.

What a fantastic, poignant end to the show.

I'm done with Radio 1 now, I can't stand any of the other presenters.

My husband can't understand why i'm so upset and to try other radio shows, but it's not the same. It's about the whole team, the banter, the games and the fact that you get to "know" each of them.

I'll just have to listen to old podcasts and shows when I feel ready, IT'S ALL JUST TOO SAD :( :( :(

You can also listen to almost every old shows (without the news and music). That's what I'm going to do from now on

Don't worry about it, they've been on here for years and nobody from the BBC has complained. Aled posts on here, don't forget, and if he thought it was going to be a problem, then he would have said so years ago.

Edited to avoid breaking of trust. Fledge if you could change your post please to not quote me that would be good.

Great final show and sad to see it go indeed! I haven't been listening to it as long as some of you guys but it still hit hard and did lose it during the last hour of the show! Having Paul Turner on was a brilliant choice and never knew he has known Chris since his Capital days! I have given my feelings on McFly Day on here before but the Starboy song proved me wrong and was great to listen to (will watch video later).

£10.4 million raised for Comic Relief is no small feat and Chris, the team (past & present) and the listeners should be proud of that. The guy might have his haters but he has his loyal fan base and they pull it off for him like they did during the CR events like the Marathon Show!

And that ending video was perfect! Well, off to listen to the old shows where I am currently at June 2005 so still have another 7 1/4 years of radio shows to listen to and 4 before I get to when I started listening!

So I bid adieu to The Chris Moyles Breakfast show and may it continue to live forever through the power of this forum and the content it has provided over the years with clips, podcasts, videos & shows!

Well, of all the days for me to sleep through the alarm today was the day. I woke up at 7.15 and spent the next hour feeling pretty annoyed with myself. I know I can watch it again, but it's not the same..

Epic ending to the show! I had been wondering why Pippa and Freya we're wearing the same outfit as yesterday and Aled the same top he was wearing after the show. I thought that maybe, just maybe, for the last ever show they'd decided to pre-record it all and stay in bed!

Once it had finished I sat for a good ten minutes just staring at a blank screen. I don't think it will really truely hit me until Monday morning when my radio alarm (which I may have to bin now) goes off and there is no Cheesy Song. I may have to put it on my phone and set it to play every morning at 6.30

I thought the last hour of the show was properly perfect. They loved the tribute book and all had a lovely little last word each. I loved the last 2 proper songs and the video tribute at the end was brilliant. I love how they started the show with a cheesy song and also ended it with an overly cheesy song. Well done Aled and others who were involved, I loved it. I only woke up at 7:50 so I'm excited to hear the rest of it on iplayer.
