Hello everyone,

Just thought it was appropriate today to put a thread up to thank Chris Harris and everyone else from chrismoyles.net for being so amazing over the past 8 1/2 years. Obviously with the hope for others to contribute! I don't see myself posting much in the future and just want to say that you have all been fantastic.

Chris Moyles has been a massive part of my life since I was 14 and this site has helped fuel that passion so much. Destroying my family computer as a teenager by downloading too much porn and sound clips, the ability to download past podcasts, nicking the 'Be Moyles' section to use on my hospital radio show and chatting with friends and foe here on the forum. For me this site has been in some part an extension of the show, especially between 2004 and 7. There have been some amazing threads on here and some hilarious moments. I've looked back at my past postings today and realized how damn annoying i was 6-7 years ago. Yet you all still engaged with me and talked to fans no matter what. Even if they were speculating about the show being dropped every second and / or the latest celebrity deaths. But perhaps the most amazing thing is that "The Chris Moyles Show" doesnt end today because the work of this site goes on.

I know it will all continue, but I just want to note my appreciation before I drift off and move on as I think is probably inevitable. I want to say "thank you". Thank you to Chris Harris, thank you to Console, MC, Fish Heads, Topher, Nicola_Red and anyone else who I've forgotten.

Thankyou I love working for this site. It takes up so much of my time, but so far I've never cared. I have no plans to go anywhere, so I'll still be uploading the archive Tedious Links and clipping anything I think is worthy from the archive shows - knowing people will still be around to read and listen is really important to me.

To that list I'd add Johnny1989, Ianpwilliams, Jamiec21 and bmstinton to the list for their massive contributions to the full shows archive, and richbrown and yummytummy for doing sound clips too.

I'd like to echo the thanks to all contributors on this site. To do all that you do for the love of the show is amazing and is something that I massively appreciated. I only discovered this site a few years ago and am only an occasional poster but read it every day. Love knowing that there are others out there thinking about the cms everyday, whether it be at work, holiday or wherever. The archive is definitely gonna ease a lot of pain for so many people over the coming months. Top work to all of you!!!

Agreed. about 45 percent of my iphones music library is clips from this site. You're all a spot on set of folks and its become a little part of my routine to get in from uni/work and check here. however, while I've not been here long, I'm leaving the forum and the moyles fanboying behind. As people will know if they read my tribute, moyles and the gang helped me through a difficult time in my life, giving me something to look forward to, but now I know the gang wont ever be fully together again, as they were, is making me sad. It feels abit like its gonna be like david tennant to matt smith as the doctor, its still ok, but its never the same as it was, and I dont want to tarnish my memory of them.
I'll float on by, time to time, to check how the people I've spoken to are, and to steal clips now and then, but for now, I bid you all farewell.
Once again cheers for being patient with me when I joined, cheers for all the clips but mostly Cheers for all the laughs.

Pretty much what you guys have said, I will agree with. We have had our agreements and disagreements on the show but we still chat about a show we know and love and it is going to leave a big hole for some people. It was part of their lives getting up each morning and listening to what Chris and the team got up to and the some of the moments that instantly became classic and made you laugh so hard, you were in tears and believe me I have had a few of them over the 3+ years I've listened to it.

I will perhaps eventually move on from this site but for now, I am staying around to chat with some guys on here that I have got to know over the past few years and appreciate their thoughts etc plus downloading archived shows from back in the day has helped me pass the nights at work over the last 10 months and do not know what I am going to do once I listen to them all but that will be a long time yet.

So, I would like to thank Chris for making the site and keeping it up after all these years and to everyone I've come across on the forums over the past 3 years and to the main contributors for shows & sound clips like Nicola, Ian, Johnny, Jamie, Ben, slaphead, yummytummy, Rich etc and to the main members like Yudster, Topher, Travis and more for keeping me entertained with your quibbles day in and out on whatever the topic.

I just wanted to say that when first joined I was nervous as thought i would not be welcomed. I was wrong and everyone on here has been so nice and warming, True there has been dissagreements but we always here chating about the show. There will be a big hole not hearing what the team got up or some Dave game or slipped out.

I will still be here as I love clipping for the site as most of the audio on my ipod is from here. So wanted to say thank you Chris for making the site and to the main contributors for shows and sound clips such as Nicola,Ian,Johnny,Jamie,Ben,Slaphead,Rich and to everyone else on here.

I'm newly registered here but lurked a few times and listened to the old clips.

This is just to say thank you for building such a fantastic site. I mentioned in a post the day about how many brilliant memories there are from over years, and with a place like this, where they are all posted and stored so we can go back over them and reminisce. I spent the last two mornings in bed watching the show on t.v and with chatroom on and its been brilliant to share the final two shows with actual fans of the show.

So again thank you to everybody who's ever contributed to this amazing place.

Thanyou Mr. Harris for inventing a site in which we as fans of Mr. Moyles can gather and exchange veiws of a radio braodcaster who will never be beaten into doing what is wanted and will only ever do what he wants.

I joined around the time of the marathon show but I have never been part of a site soo much. This is the best unofficial fan site about and that will never be a lie.

Yes indeed, thank you very much to Chris Harris. I stupidly didn't listen to the first few years of the breakfast show, when I started listening, I quickly became a massive fan, and simply couldn't miss it. Now, thanks to this website, I can go back and listen to all the shows I missed, and pretty much every breakfast show ever, and that's thanks to this little community of fans. So thank you to Jamie (for providing the vast majority of shows), Johnny (for creating the archive in the first place I believe), Bmstinton and Slaphead for editing, and also the others who occasionally edited shows here and there, and thanks to Chris and Nicola and the others who manage the forums, and thanks to Theflyingbadger, DimTimJim, Deadly and the rest for their entertainment!

Having said all that, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. Thanks to Jamie (again) I've still got lots of shows to edit, and I hope that many of us will be sticking around to talk about what the team members are getting up to, and who knows, hopefully we will be talking about new radio shows in the future that Chris and/or others might be taking part in

Can I just add a thank you to you all. I have lurked for many years but have only posted in the last couple of months - mainly because I was too scared to in case you told me to clear off. So thanks for letting me stay! Thanks for allowing me to join in with the book, a great honour and thank you to Chris for setting up the site in the first place. Everyone who has contributed to the archives has created an Aladdins cave of goodies and the lengths people go to getting things up so quickly, especially this week, is greatly appreciated. It's nice to be amongst people with the same interest and I can go on about Chris Moyles without being told to pack it in. So, cheers everyone!

Just wanted to say thanks to Chris and all the site contributors such as Ian and Neil, for allowing me to catch up with bits of the show over the years. I have to keep reminding myself that I've probably only heard about three quarters of all Breakfast since 2004 - mainly due to me only becoming besotted with the show from January 2006 onwards. I've missed loads of whole shows, but fear not, as I reckon if Chris can manage to keep this thing going for future generations then it will truly be the most accessed audio library (maybe?) and will be brilliant in many ways.

It's been very special I must say, over the years, I won't be heavily into any show as much as this again - I'm not a radio geek - just a CMS one. How did I get here? Through some portal? It feels like it, even though it was probably via the radio 1 website - Ahh yes that's what it was, underneath the link it said you nick all their pics, I remember that now, for some reason.

It is the best fansite in the world isn't it? Isn't it?? Got to be. Due to it's refreshing honesty, along with it's Ramble section where users can just talk about any old stuff - pretty much like they did on the show.

I can't say thanks properly without including Nic - A profound thankyou for allowing me to tell the team how much it's all meant to me over the years. Something more special than I predicted happened in that studio on Friday morning - I wasn't expecting our tributes to be so movingly recieved as that. It's not the kind of thing I'm ever gonna forget, so well done you, and well done everyone, like Chris says, we've done ourselves proud.
