No it was just a joke that was wasted on you. I said I don't remember names of new people and then to turn it into a slight joke called you "Broomer" and not "Boomer". Hope that helps.

Hi, long time lurker, felt the need to join today.

I was actually a relatively recent convert to TCMS. Previously I had assumed that he must be a fat, loudmouthed, arrogant, homophobic, bore, because that is what people said.

It was the 52-hour show that drew me in, and I barely missed a show thereafter.

So gutted that I missed out on 6 or 7 years of his show.

Anyway, I will start listening from the start once I feel ready, so I'm grateful to this site and glad I found it.

Probably not the best time to be arriving, but still. I'm Ron, I've been a Moyles fan since 2002, I think it's gone backwards since leaving the afternoons but still gutted he's gone. Grimshaw isn't fit to shine his shoes.

Joined ages ago. Reactivating as I'm setting up a facebook page to pay homage to the golden hour (https://www.facebook.com/goldenhourremembered), which i will miss so much! Keen to get you guys involved and input from the show's hardcore fans - also intend to plunder your archives for clips to spice it up!

Still continuing the quest to find the parody of Geri Halliwell's 'Look at me' from the afternoon show - but if you guys don't have it I can't imagine who will! It had me rather dangerously not-quite-wetting-myself-laughing on a drive from Birmingham to Whitby. If anyone has it please let me know.

Hi - like so many others, I've lurked for several years and decided after the last show to sign up. Discovered the Chris Moyles Show back in 2008 when Radio 1 was on SiriusXM radio here in The States. Realized very quickly that I really didn't like the music on Radio 1, but I really liked this show. Since then I've been a daily listener to the show. Like everyone else I was very unhappy about the ending of the show. Listened to the last show today and at the end I was incredibly sad as the show had become an important part of my daily routine.

My little claim to fame is that my name and comment were actually read out by Chris during the show back over a year ago. This was during the initial push to get over 1.5 million Facebook likes. I stayed up late one night before one or our holidays over here (Labor Day) and while listening to the show on the live stream, logged into FB and posted a comment on the show's page. Chris read out my little post. As many can imagine, that REALLY made my day. Thanks to all the veterans here on this forum who have done so much work to archive the show, video and audio clips and podcasts. You've done an amazing job.
