What was the gist? "Cuck Those Funts!" ?

Nicola_Red wrote:Right, I have the book here. He talks about his first divorce, then mentions this site and that we had a thread about it, and even quotes a couple of posts from said thread. He says that the thread rumbled on with weird rumours and that this speculation basically forced him to announce it on air. He adds that he finds it "fascinating" (hmm) that we are so interested in his private life. I know we get another mention later in the book, but I can't find it.
Deadly wrote:the forum broke the news over his divorce before he did which would understandably annoy him. He hadn't spoken about it on air at all because of there being a child involved and probably never would have done were it not for it being discussed here.

I don't think Dave would particularly care what people say about him, so long as he made good money out if it.

Deadly wrote:The thing he has against him in terms of reality tv is he is no longer broadcasting to 8 million people a day. The promotion DoI got was huge because of him being on the show daily. He's very comfortable on 5Live which is why I'm surprised he left the BBC altogether. That being said there are lots of other networks for him to go to. Talksport to name one of them.

chrysostom wrote:Chappers & Dave on drivetime doing a sports related show (with Dom reading the news) would be AMAZING. Much better than Gough and Durham.
I'd listen to that show every day.
And TalkSport is exactly the kind of network where their level of technical expertise would be up to par, and Dom's abilities would be well ahead of the game. Getting too excited about this, as it would never happen.

Euphemism?

Agreed. It would still have been bloody good, but Dom was fantastic and and if he'd left I'd have missed him massively.
