Bit harsh...

How dare you remove the Union Flag from the quote.

I don't think either of them would thank you for that comparison. :D

Things I am enjoying about being woken up to Absolute in the morning:
  • Better music.

Things that are annoying me about being woken up to Absolute in the morning:
  • Constant * adverts (particularly when they're on when the alarm goes off).
  • Christian O'Connell.
  • The completely irritating and tiresome phrase "you're up to date" after the news, sport and weather.

Good friend of Moyles from his early days.

He has two sidekicks and pretty much has similar on-air habits such as involving even the most feable of producers/newspresenters. If you listen to a few of the podcasts and anonymous confessional (one of the most amazing features ever on radio), you'll grow to like him.

Sounds very much like Simon Mayo's long-running feature "Confessions".

Ahhhhh. Probably where the inspiration comes from. But it's a little more crude no doubt... one of the questions is:

"Strangest thing you've been asked to do in the bedroom?" - short text message based answers make it even more funny. especially when they do put their name on it.

I've delved right into it, it looks like they've built it very cleverly, even proxying all the requests I can't find the audio stream, my guess is the flash player widget calls to the audio via HTTPS.

I don't want it to beat me though so I'll have a further play about!

The ads might drive you insane, but you'll get more chat than your average commercial station and Hirsty is very wise with his words (with very funny responses from his sidekicks). He's more of a proper broadcaster than most around. Even does a show on Capital Gold with 80s stuff. He knows a thing or two about the music as well.

I'm afraid it's gonna be a record from the Stereo Mix jobbie Ian, I have no idea how they're doing it but I can't find the RTMP link anywhere to try and grab it!
