That's an important point - we all need to be tweeting #TeamMoyles, retweeting the @Team_Moyles account and retweeting each other if we want the hashtag to be picked up as trending.

That's an important point - we all need to be tweeting #TeamMoyles, retweeting the @Team_Moyles account and retweeting each other if we want the hashtag to be picked up as trending.

Write new bits as well as/instead of just RTing otherwise it won't trend. RTing and just using the original tweet doesn't work if you want to trend.

Didn't moyles get #banana (or something daft like that) trending as an experiment a while back? can't see how anyone tweeting it could have been classed as adding value to a conversation.

And yeah, I do agree with the point made about the tweets needing to be originals rather than just a bunch of retweets, but if we are all posting original tweets as well as retweeting eachothers tweets, hopefully more people will see them and get involved.

I'm not really up on twitter, but if you are looking for names to tweet to on Monday morning, there are a load of tweets to the team members stating how they will be missed etc. Maybe collect a few names - if it's allowed

No, just worked ok for me. Sometimes the drop down selection is a bit dodgy though, you have to make sure you select it properly or it does cut off.

I seem to gain new followers everytime I tweet the hashtag too. Dunno about everyone else, but I've got about 40 followers more than I did ten days ago.

Very true! They'll just keep plugging #TeamGrimmy but if #TeamMoyles became a higher trending hashtag during the show, it will be interesting to see how they react if that's the basis of their popularity (rather than text messages).

In essence though, the hashtag shouldn't matter. But because it's at the front of promotion of the show, it does.

No, you don't have to follow someone to retweet their tweet. Just do a search for #TeamMoyles and start retweeting
