I support Reading and have done since we were in division 3. I'm looking forward to the new season but very worried about our squad.

Mighty, mighty, Leicester City. But, by Moyles birth location logic rather than merit of past performances.

Does Ian Harte take penalties/free kicks? I've included him in my FF team on this basis...

He takes free kicks and normally corners from the right hand side. That might change now we have signed a few new players though.

Piers Morgan‏@piersmorgan

As for you @Persie_Official - think hard about what you're doing. Going to United would be the single biggest betrayal in #Arsenal history.

Heh.

This is great for Arsenal. They get £20 million for an injury prone 29 year old to spend on younger players. RVP can be replaced.

Oh aye, Arsenal will do fine without him I think. I'm just amused by Piers Morgan, the tit.

Smarter business would have been to ask for £10 million plus either Berbatov/Hernandez/Welbeck in exchange. Welbeck would fit in at Arsenal very well in my view.

So is RVP coming to the party?

ok poor, sorry, and not actually right, there is an S missing, but you know, keep me happy.

I like Mens Gymnastics and Grand Prix Dressage as sports thanks to the Olympics so I have other things to watch!

Colchester United. A resounding 0 - 0 away will, I feel sure, set the tone for our usual mediocre season of ambitionless drudgery and our classic comfortable mid-table finish.

Honestly, they might as well just tell them now they are going to finish somewhere between 10 - 13 in the table and let them sit at home and get fat for the next 8 months.

*sigh*

Good thing about Colchester is they are secure financially which is the most important thing at that level. You have a solid base unlike many of the other teams in League 1

Financial security is all very well, but the reality of that means "living within our means", which are very limited and as a result, we will never get anywhere. Is there any point in simply existing for the sake of the same season year after year?

Robbie Cowling, the owner and Chairman is Mr Yudster's boss and John Cowling, one of the Directors, is a friend of ours so I don't want to be too hard on them, but they need to start thinking outside the box a bit more.

Well, this season is shaping up to be interesting!

Still very cagey on whether Arsenal will be able to compete for anything higher than fourth as we haven't played United, City or Chelsea yet - and I'm anticipating at least a few abject performances. United and City don't look as far ahead of the pack as they were last year, and I think Chelsea look brilliant. Also very happy for Laudrup at Swansea! Liverpool look to be suffering from a lack of a striker...

Good way for St. Johnstone to get our first win of the season, over the defending champions. I love seeing Lennon miserable.

"Jake Humphrey to leave BBC for BT Vision

BBC presenter Jake Humphrey has announced he is to leave the corporation to host BT Vision's Premier League coverage.

BT will launch a new channel after acquiring the rights to £738m worth of Premier League football, starting from the 2013-14 season.

The 33-year-old, best known for hosting the BBC's Formula 1 coverage, will anchor the new channel's live football coverage from next season which includes 38 live games a season over three years.

He will continue to present the BBC's F1 coverage for the remainder of the current season.

Humphrey started his career on CBBC and went on to become the youngest host of Football Focus, Match of the Day and Final Score and was one of the main broadcasters during the London 2012 Olympics.

"I'm incredibly excited to be joining the team at BT, not just because I get to fulfil a lifelong dream of presenting the Premier League but because of the fresh perspective that BT will bring to both sport and broadcasting in this country," said Humphrey.

A BBC statement read: "We'd like to wish Jake all the best for the future, and thank him for his contribution to the BBC over the last 10 years."

Oh no, Jeff Stelling has taken to referring to us as "Colchester, the draw specialists". He's clearly not noticed how often we've lost.

Last week St Johnstone got our first win of the season over Celtic, and today we added our 2nd by ending Ross County's 40 match unbeaten league run. Chuffed!

So not the best start for my Norwich. After the ridiculous success we had under Lambert, it was always going to be tough for who ever came in. Though I think Houghton missed out of changing the squad over summer, the squad we have is pretty much Lambert's squad, and its obviously not working too well for Houghton.

After everything that happened with Holt over the summer, it was obvious he was going to have a shite season. We just need a goal scorer really, someone like that Pogrebniak (?) - as if he's moved to Reading?! No disrespect to Reading, but he done really well with Fulham last year, and they sold Dempsey, so you'd think they'd want to keep him?

And my word, Man City were SHOCKING the other night!
