Make sure you do a quote retweet rather than a normal retweet as the hashtag won't count. Just add something to the end of a quote retweet to make it your own.

Basically, a normal retweet just links the tweet in your timeline (list of tweets). When you quote retweet, it will copy the text and surround it with quote marks into a new tweet. You can then add a comment to it.

How are you tweeting? Most twitter clients give you the option unless you're using the twitter website.

I don't have the option to do a quote tweet.... yet, using the twitter website on my phone at the moment as no app is available. Waiting for my iphone to arrive though, so should be able to do them in the future!
