'Jungle' rhymes with 'bungle', who was in 'Rainbow'. Rainbow had a hit in 1979 with 'Since You've Been Gone'. 'Gone With The Wind' is one of the most famous films that I've never seen. 'Seen' is the past tense of 'saw', as in sight, rather than what a magician would do to a woman. 'Woman' is a song title that links records by Wolfmother and John Lennon. John Lennon's son Julian had a hit with 'Saltwater'. Salt water is good for treating an open wound or gash. If you swap the 'G' of 'gash' for an 'M' you get 'mash', which is one of my favourite types of potato. 'Potato' in Spanish is 'patatas', as taught to us the other day by Tim Westwood. Westwood was in Spain last weekend for Six weeks of Summer, and this weekend it's the turn of JK & Joel, who are off to Tenerife as Radio 1 goes on holiday one more time, which links to Daft Punk and 'One More Time.

The word 'jungle' shares many of the same letters as 'magle', as in Joe Mangle from 'Neighbours'. Joe Mangle was played by Mark Little, who presented 'The Big Breakfast' with Zoe Ball. Zoe Ball used to do 'Live and Kicking' with Jamie Theakston, who recently presented the Live Earth coverage with Claudia Winkleman. Claudia Winkleman shares the same first name as Claudia Schiffer, who me and Chris once helped with her luggage trolley at Heathrow Airport. Heathrow Airport has an abundance of parking. 'Parking' rhymes with 'larking', as in larking about, which is what Aled was doing on the beach in Mykonos and you can see at Radio 1 online, but beware, the video may involve buffering. If you change the first letter of 'buffering' to an 'S' you get 'suffering', which is like poverty and famine. Famine needs to be cured with food and cash. Food and cash are what I can get from my local shop, which is a corner shop, which links to Cornershop and 'Brimful of Asha'.

Flaws:

Evidently the team all forgot about the Daft Punk track Dave chose on the Friday before their holiday, as he instead linked from the Thursday track, GN'R's 'Welcome To The Jungle'. Nobody commented on this.

'Brimful of Asha' wasn't up to much til it was remixed by Norman Cook. Norman Cook shares the same first name as Norman Lamont, who was Deputy Prime Minister in the days of John Major. 'Major' is one of Victoria Beckham's new favourite words now she's a resident of LA. 'L' and 'A' are the first two letters of the word 'lamp', which you might have in your house to bring you light. 'Light My Fire' was originally by The Doors, but was covered by Will young from 'Pop Idol'. 'Pop Idol' featured Dr Fox, who shares the same surname as Sam Fox, who did page 3 in the 80s. 'Acceptable In The 80s' was a hit for Calvin Harris, who is one of only two famous Calvins in the world, the other being Calvin Klein who makes underpants. Captain Underpants goes out with carrie, who sits next to Dominic, who is a big fan of U2, which links to U2 and 'Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of'.

Flaws:

A couple of Norman-based issues today: Norman Lamont was Chancellor, not Deputy Prime Minister; and Norman Cook doesn't really share the same first name as Norman Lamont, as Cook's real first name is Quentin (Dave mentioned that in a link only recently). Chris also challenged Dave's assertion that The Doors originally recorded 'Light My Fire', stating that the original was by Jose Feliciano, but in fact Dave was correct on this - The Doors wrote the track and recorded it in 1966, whereas Feliciano covered it in 1968.

A moment is a really small amount of time. Time flies when you're having fun. Fun is what most people enjoy, unless they're really miserable like Jack Dee, who I think has a new DVD out. Out is the opposite of in, and out and in are the two main options in the world of belly-buttons. A belly-button is also called a navel, but is different to the type of naval that involves ships and seamen in places like Plymouth. Plymouth have a football team called Argyll, even though Argyll is in Scotland. Scotland is where the Proclaimers are from, who are called Craig and Charlie. Charlie is an abbreviation for Charles, as in King Charles, who was a big fan of spaniels. 'Spaniel' rhymes with 'Daniel', as in Daniel Day-Lewis, who was in 'Last Of the Mohicans'. The mohicans were a tribe who had the hairstyle later adopted by David Beckham. David Beckham used to play for Manchester United, as did Bryan Robson, who's now manager of Sheffield United. Sheffield is where Heaven 17 are from, which links to Heaven 17 and 'Temptation'.

Flaws:

A couple of queries today. Firstly, King Charles spaniels were actually made famous by their association with King Charles II, whereas just saying King Charles would usually indicate his father Charles I. There were also questions regarding Mohicans - in fact the hairstyle Dave referred to was originally known as a Mohawk and was influenced by the a representation of the Mohawk people of South America (from the 1939 movie 'Drums Along The Mohawk', fact fans), who were nothing to do with the Mohicans.

Leeds United are to appeal over their 15 point reduction. A reduction is what you'd find on the menu at one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants. Gordon Ramsay is who Chris met up with while on holiday in New York. Napoleon was very short, and in that respect was a bit like Dennis Wise. Dennis Wise plays for Leeds United, who won their first game of the season on Saturday, which takes them up to -12 points. -12 in the world of centigrade temperatures is pretty cold, and would definitely require thermals and woollies. Woolly stuff comes from sheep, which like to live on hills. Hills tend to be smaller than mountains. Mountains can be climbed with the use of ropes and stuff. Rope was traditionally made in damp places like caves. Caves can provide a good source of shelter from wind and rain and stop you shivering, which links to Coldplay and 'Shiver'.

Yesterday our celebration was to celebrate our latest set of audience figures, which are massive. Massive Attack had a hit with 'Teardrop', which has been covered by Newton Falkner on his debut album 'Handbuilt By Robots'. 'Robots' was one of Chris' film roles, the other being a brief appearance in 'Wimbledon'. Wimbledon is famous for two things, tennis and wombles. My favourite womble is probably Uncle Bulgaria. Bulgaria is in Eastern Europe, which is now expanding rapidly in the development of tourism. 'Tourist' was the title of the second album by Athlete. Athlete's foot is a fungal problem that can be alleviated with the use of powder. 'Powder' rhymes with 'chowder', which is a type of fishy soup. Fishy soup is something you can probably buy all year round here on the beach in Brighton. On the beach here is where Fatboy Slim staged a massive concert a few years ago, which links to Fatboy Slim and 'The Rockafeller Skank'.

Pete Tong spent Ibiza weekend handcuffed to a Smurf, like me who spent this weekend handcuffed to Aled dressed as one of the Village People. The Village People's name references the New York district of Greenwich Village. Greenwich in London is where the Royal Observatory is situated, which is where they do a lot of weather stuff. Weather stuff is known as meteorology, which takes its name from 'meteoron', which means 'high in the sky' in Greek. The Greeks did a lot of work in the field of sleep. When you sleep you have rapid eye movement or REM, which links to REM and 'Losing My Religion'.

The Royal Observatory is to do with astronomy, not meteorology. Additionally, the the Greek 'meteoron' refers to any phenomenon in the sky, so Dave wasn't 100% accurate on this (but almost).

Annie Lennox shares one name in common with Lennox Lewis, who's a boxer. Boxer is a breed of dog, as is collie. Cauliflower is often combined with cheese, which comes from cows. Louis Walsh is actually from Mayo. Additionally, several texters challenged Dave's assertion that cows sit or lie down when it rains. Apparently it has been suggested that cows don't like sitting in wet grass, or dislike eating wet grass and so are keeping a patch dry, or that cows slip over when it gets wet so are taking precautionary measures - but all this is simply folklore and there is no hard evidence to show that cows' behaviour can predict the weather. 'Another Day In Paradise' was a hit for Phil Collins, who I think now lives in Switzerland. Switzerland is a very mountainous country famous for making chocolate. Chocolate is made from cocoa beans, which grow in hot countries like Ecuador. 'Ecuador' was a hit for Sash. Sash is a word associated with windows. Windows are found on your computer, which was invented by Charles Babbage. 'Babbage' rhymes with 'cabbage', which is something you might grow in the garden. The Garden of Eden is where Adam and Eve used to live. Adam and Eve featured in the Bible, along with Noah. Noah built an ark to transport animals overseas. Some animals are now extinct, like the dodo. 'Dodo' sounds a lot like 'Dido', who's probably met Linda Perry of 4 Non Blondes, which links to 4 Non Blondes and 'What's Up'.

Cats have a tendency to get themselves stuck up trees and have to be rescued by firemen. When an emergency call comes, firemen slide down a pole. Pole, first name Graham, is a famous referee in football. Football was originally played by kicking the bladder of a pig. Pigs' feet are called trotters. Tears For Fears were a band that included Curt Smith. Smith is the most common surname in the UK, whereas in the Republic of Irelans it's Murphy. Murphy is a surname that links Fulham signing Danny with American actress Brittany, who was in Eminem's '8 Mile' film. In films and TV shows the most popular fictional name for an airline is Oceanic, which links to Oceanic and 'Insanity'.

Insanity is what people sometimes try to plead to excuse them from bad stuff. Bad stuff is the opposite of 'Good Stuff', which was a hit for Kelis, who also did a song about milkshake. Milkshakes are something you normally drink through a straw. Straw is what you would use as bedding for a horse. The best place for a horse to sleep is probably in a stable, which is also where Jesus was born. Jesus' father was called Joseph, and was a famous carpenter. Carpenter, first name Lou, is the character in 'Neighbours' who owns half the general store with Harold. Harold was washed away in a freak accident and presumed dead,but was found alive five years later by Helen Daniels. Helen Daniels is now dead, and in that respect shares something in common with Queen Victoria. Queen Victoria has lots of pubs named after her, while Queen Elizabeth has ships. 'Ship of Fools' was a hit for Erasure, who also had a hit with 'Blue Savannah' in 1990. 1990 was also the year of The Farm's first hit, which links to The Farm and 'Groovy Train'.
