Thanks for that link about the iPlayer potentially coming to America. I had read something about this earlier this year and got pretty excited about the prospect. Then I heard nothing more about it. The point about BBC America being held hostage is an interesting one. I wouldn't be surprised. Frankly, I think BBC America would be against the iPlayer being available here as it would make that channel pretty much unnecessary.

It's more his attitude to towards the girl on the phone than the actual scenario. I was already halfway there on thinking that all of Wand Erection were dicks, so listening to that just confirmed my suspicions. But then I suspect most boy-band members are cretins, so I suppose this lot are no worse than the rest.

I'm actually wondering what point there is listening to Radio 1 during the daytime anymore. Grimmy's show speaks for itself. Then it's "I'd jump off a cliff if I was told to" Fearne, then Scott, then Greg.
I'm thinking that with Chris leaving, daytime Radio 1 has lost its last(for now at least) DJ who was actually a character and didn't just act like a corporate robot. It's bad enough without them involving idiots like the members of 1D as well...

Dear God this is bad. First Chris leaves and now this bullsh*t.
I've listened to Radio 1 for 10 years exactly now, and in that time I can never remember anything as bad as this being broadcast.

I've been listening since 1999, Moyles and Coxy were the only two worth listening to of recent, now Chris has gone and Sara will be on at a time I can't listen (in work) then that's it for me with Radio 1.

The only time I'll listen in future is if Coxy is on when I'm not at work or if Chris returns, otherwise my future Radio 1 listens will be of the vintage kind (Moyles, Mark & Lard, Murray & Cox)

Ok - so I have been listening for a few minutes this morning; and so we are at the "phoner" so time to make the tea (the kitchen is a safe distance away from my desk).....

To be honest however, he has had a dig already at the "prohibition" of the zoo format, cutting a bit of in-studio banter down with "we are not allowed the zoo format" etc; and seems to be getting a little more comfortable.

Maybe it will be an idea to come back after these teen awards, and see if he has calmed down.

Grimmy joined Dev for a chat at the end of Dev's show today, they were talking abut Example and Dev said - with his tongue very firmly in his cheek, I'd like to think - "Example really loves dropping names doesn't he?" and Grimmy was all enthusiastic agreement, saying how Example is always talking about his celebrity pals. It wasn't a black fly in your chardonnay but it was beautifully ironic. Nicely done Dev.

From what I'm reading here. On forums on the internet. And the tripe we are listening to. It seems that Ben cooper had dropped the biggest clanger ever in pushing chris out. We can guess rajar figures for chris' final 3 months will be round the 7.5 - 7.75 million figure. Unless some back handed money is being felt with. And the upheaval that is happening. Plus this crap radio 1 are letting happen with 1 direction. I gotta feel (as I'm sure your all thinking) we gotta lose 2 million listeners easy on breakfast alone. (didnt Sara cox get pushed as she dipped below 6 million.)

You have to believe that they will have made a mistake when they see the figures. And do everything to get the team back together. And bleed some new talent. Like they did with chris in 97. Because apart from Greg. (who has not improved since early morning's) they've done nothing.look at who they hired since Greg.
