Hang on, wasn't (isn't?) Chris good friends with Dave's first wife as well? I definitely remember Chris telling a story on the air about socialising with her (nothing sordid), after the first divorce was announced. Think this Chris/Jayne tittle tattle is a load of bollocks, frankly.

Given they're all clearly good friends, didn't split acrimoniously and it was an amicable ending, I don't think it was in any way shape or form remarkable, never mind incredible.

See, I do! All that does is demonstrate that we are different people, not that one of us is right and the other wrong. If I split up with Mr Yudster and he almost immediately went on a holiday that included a female mutual friend I would be devastated, and if it was the other way around, so would he. Clearly not everyone is of the same mind on that, but whilst I take that on board completely, I can't pretend I understand it.

You see I come from the point of view of wanting someone you still care about (but now maybe as a sister than a wife) and who is the mother of your child to be looked after and not to waste an opportunity for rest, relaxation and a bit of levity.

And who better to facilitate that than your best mate, someone you trust completely?

I could be wrong of course, but that was my thought back then and still is now!

Dicking Dom? They've been on before.

I just think perhaps it was already booked, Jayne & Dave didn't want to go together & so since it was Chris' brother, he took Dave's place.

There are loads of possible explanations, all of them reasonable, all of them illustrating a perfectly amicable and innocent situation - I just know that if I had been Dave, I would have been unhappy, and if I was Chris, I wouldn't have felt right going. I can't speak for Dave and Chris, I'm only saying how I would have reacted.

I know it's been said a thousand times, but it still baffles me that people get funny about us discussing members of the Chris Moyles Show on a Chris Moyles Show fan site.

If your team who just so happened to be the underdogs beat your mates team in a cup game wouldn't you have a bit of banter with them? Noticeable lack of it on twitter between Dave & Chris :-|

None of my mates from Leeds have said anything about it to me. But that's probably because they know better.

You're kidding, right? They will have each other's private email addresses and mobile phone numbers, they can also meet up - not all communication is on Twitter.

So you've never seen, for instance, the times Dave & Dom rib each other on there? It just seems a bit suspect that two mates teams played each other and there's no banter over the result. Twitter is EXACTLY the place it'd happen

Not necessarily it's not.

But I've just told you that it hasn't happened to me. Not on twitter or facebook or anywhere else. So why necessarily would it happen to them?

Unless you are Dave or Chris, what has or hasn't happened to you in the past is irrelevant because you're different people. I'd expect it have happened because there has been ribbing between the two over results in the past, just seemed strange that they didn't do so this time especially as they don't have the show to 'save' it for

Real life celebrity friends don't always correspond publicly via the internet, especially if they've worked together every day for 15 years. That's the point Wykey is making. You don't know the dynamics of their relationship, and as such you cannot make informed assertions about how their lack of communication reflects their friendship.

Didn't Chris and Dave often talk about texting each other during football/X Factor/I'mACeleb, etc?

I agree with Yudster that the whole going on holiday thing IS odd, but, as far as I understand it Dave and Jayne stayed very close friends and everyone has different boundaries so maybe it just wasn't an issue for him.

Yes, and obviously they can DM each other, which we won't see. Not to mention the private "secret" twitter accounts.

Just let them get on with their lives. One day they will work together again. It's inevitable.
