The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

It wasn't a black fly in your chardonnay but it was beautifully ironic. Nicely done Dev.

I don't mind Dev to be honest, he does have his good moments every so often, more so than a lot of them on there now.

Look, as much as we all want it to happen, the team are never never never getting back together. Like, ever.

For the 4,623rd time, the Radio 1 remit is not to get the largest audience. The remit is to entertain 15-29 year olds. Audience size is not the primary goal. Hence driving out over 29s is a good thing, and will probably result in a smaller audience.

Newspapers care about RAJAR numbers, the BBC Trust, not so much.

Having said that, I do agree that the Radio 1 Direction stuff is ridiculous and I'd be suprised to see many over 18s interested in 1D. Rajar diaries don't cover the young 'uns, but if Radio 1's own research shows 8-14 year olds listening more for the Tween Band Muppet coverage, that will drive the audience age down, even though reaching tweens isn't part of their remit. In other words, they're cheating.

Come on. What do you think the director general will look at. Listening figures or age figures. Come on. The BBC trust want 1 thing. The director general will want to show that his controller of BBC radio 1 is worth the money that the licence payers are paying him. And that will come from listening figures. Not that the 16 - 30's are tuning in to a radio station that's doing less listeners than a BBC DIGITAL radio station. OR that the other 3 big localish radio stations have more listeners than the biggest radio station bar radio 2.

Let Mr put it to you another way.
the conroller of a radio network. It's age demographic of your biggest station is. 15 - 25. The.average listener age is 33
Your biggest show is a 8 - 10 breakfast show. With a average listener figure of 2.2 million listeners.
You. As radio station controller are on 150,000 grand a year.

What do you do as the station controller.
Bring in someone yooth on breakfast. Lose listeners to say 600,000 listeners. But. You do get your average age down to the target audience.
Keep the popular breakfast show. And look.towards other shows. To strike a balance of age and listeners.

It is true that something about Android phone keyboards seems to make it very easy to add in full stops where they aren't needed. It's happened to me before now.

You all need SwiftKey, the keyboard is amazing.

Also - speaking of bad workmen, the guy on Rogue Traders on Watchdog last night was a * arsehole scumbag *... not to mention foul and disgusting.

I use Android for about 25% of my posts on here, but if an unintentional full stop is applied I just delete it, which I find works rather well.

Also, I tried to read Wireman's last post, but the sentence structure (not just the multiple full stops) just makes it too incomprehensible for me to understand any point he's trying to make. I might give it another go later when I have more time...

Haha, sorry :) I do try to tidy up my posts of stuff like unwanted full stops before I, well, post them. But it's faffy.

Double tap the spacebar for a fullstop and a space?

iphone does that - unless you tell it not to.

Though like speeling, it is possible to check before posting...

We had this discussion elsewhere - someone insisted it had only been a few months but I think it's longer (I follow Grimmy on Twitter and Instagram). I've also heard that rumour about them being more than friends before and whilst I suspect it's rubbish, it's quite funny to imagine. I can picture them fighting over hair products.

It'd strike me as a little bit 'Jonathan King' if it was any more than a few months.
