They absolutely ruined the car. Paid £2500 for one with a rusted suspension turret. Decided to turn it into a "drift" car.

All they did was add a bigger FMIC, change the suspension setup, add a strut brace and a Halfords style spoiler.

i'd suggest not having an Italian or French car ever again, they re usually lovely to drive, but all of them involve removing the car from the broken part rather than the other way around...hence if the spare parts don't cost lots, the fitting of them will.

sister has a civic, 4 door alloys and low profile tyres, and so does my mum, 2 door sensible wheels normal tyres
smashin reliable car

avoid the alloys, when kerbed they get very sharp and wear the tyre causing a dangerous side wall failure, and the first few years of the recent model had a recall on the alloy wheels for further issues... low profile rubber for these wheels is very expensive and should last way more than 6 months, they never did for my sister so she got her alloys re machined on the indside of the rim and all is good, get the smaller steel wheels and proper fat looking donuts for tyres, if the car you are looking at has the alloys offer them £1000 less and ask for the standard wheels. petrol and diesel are both good.

Kia dunno... sure its reliable but does it have any soul...

My car is no longer a deathtrap! Turns out the MOT garage who fitted the new wishbone didn't actually tighten it up, and it was slowly working itself loose. There was only 2 or 3 turns left on the nuts before my wheel would have effectively come off.

Bloody scary stuff to think about, but massively glad it's sorted. Won't be going back to said MOT garage ever again.

best bit of a supra turbo is the R154 manual box...nice shift, good ratios, over drive 5th, solid as a rock, and used to be way cheaper than a tremec i'd hapliy take one of them or a steel plate W58 from the N/A supra away if you keep tripping over it. Both good solid Warner gear derived boxes, joint effort with Aisin. NICE

Heh, mods in my opinion are good as long as they're done tastefully. Sometimes they can be overdone and to me it looks awful. I prefer the more subtle changes.

Here's a nice puzzle for you car geeks to work out. The entire driver's side of my car is flooded in the inside. As in the floor, the mats and even the boot are all completely soaked. No idea why not left windows open when it's rained, there's no sign of wetness on the roof of the car or round the doors and windows.

Check rubbery seals around windows, sunroof, doors etc.

Looks like you've done that, but chuck a few buckets of water about the roof and windows and doors etc. to check for leaks.

Well it was the one I would have liked best I think, but we needed to think about more than just pleasing me. The Kia offered a far more complete all round package, and with 6 years warranty left on it we couldn't pass it up.

Keep your fingers crossed it isnt too bad! Does sound like a leak in the rear (anyone else feel free to abuse that sexual innuendo) of the car.
