I haven't listened either! Other than the first 10mins of show 1... Why would I wanna listen? I only listened for Moyles and to be honest, I would feel disloyal listening to his 'mediocre replacement'. It's no hangin' offence though!

I think it's quite disloyal not to subject yourself to it, so that you can appreciate the relative quality of the Chris Moyles Show.

I did flip over to Grimmy at 7am post news. For a start, he was having a jab at Tina for not saying his feature name properly (the wake-up song) and kept making her say it. Then that feature is already dying flat on its arse already. All it is is a roll-call of names who have half wittingly texted in for the sake of it to get their name read out. I can't wait for that show to die.

That's not really a fair representation, is it?

1. She referred to it as the "wake-up song" and he corrected her to "waking up song". He did not keep making her say it at all. Moyles would have corrected any member of his team anytime they made an error.

2. How can it be dying on its arse when it's just a song with some names read out?

3. What were What Are You Doing Now, the Golden Hour, etc? People texting in to get their name read out.

Grimmy just seemed irritated by it all, where Moyles would of taken the piss and then laughed about it afterwards. I'm pretty sure he made her say it at least 3 times. I don't see any point with the wake-up song feature either. There's no song apart from the track that they talk all over and play some sound fx's over the top (that's getting on my nerves more as they seem to crop up everywhere!). To me, it sounds like Grimmy can't be bothered to engage with his audience properly. Like a teenager, it's childish at the best of times.

I really don't see how you can defend such a pile of poop because you feel that it would make it easier to come off the Moyles high. Admittedly, I'm a bit of a radio geek as well; so look at the show from a different perspective rather than a straight comparison to the CM show. Too rightly, Radio 1 and Grimmy now (it wasnt the case before) have peed me right off because the show is awful from a radio performance perspective. Grimmy has got a ruddy clue.

The fact remains that if people here think I'm not loyal enough to TCMS, there's no point whatsoever in me spending hours that could reasonably be used lying on my sofa watching TV contributing to this site. What seems to have transpired is that people are happy to take advantage of my loyalty when it means they can read my Tedious Links, download my clips or navigate the board without spam all over the place, but they're also very quick to question it when I happen to disagree with them on post-Moyles listening. Which is kind of hypocritical.

Again, CM had a purpose to everything he did with his SFX etc. But I'm trying hard not to compare to the CM show because nothing will touch it but you always seem to want to come back round to that.

I genuine dislike the style, the content and himself as a personality (more so now he's settled into the show). He's given up his true radio persona just to conform to the BBC to tick certain boxes. Essentially, he's given up any credibility he had before. I thought you'd at least be able to agree on that.

No way. I'll put my hand up first to say that I enjoyed the evening programming from Grimmy. Very witty and had a potential to take on the zoo format in his own way like he did before. But the exec's disagree and they're going to pay the price along with Grimmy's career. Being more commercial is nonsensical. He's still broadcast on a national station, but with a different audience to tackle. The BBC have made a rod for their own back to try and narrow the target audience. Grimmy could of tamed the original zoo format breakfast show format easy peasy. All he is now is the exec's puppet until they get fed up and move him on.

To put it simply, there's no investment in this show from the Radio 1 execs at all.

Don't worry, I've read all that nonsense. But refocussing your demographic doesnt mean chopping half of your actual target audience in one swoop by forcing your presenter to lobby one band (where there could be some issues further down the line if they continue with it) and abandon the legacy of the show. It's not even the Radio 1 Exec's have been clever about it to get around the issues.

I appreciate times change, but what's currently broadcasted is not BBC Radio like it should be. I'm not saying Chris should be back. He's done his time and millions have thanked him for that. But what's going on now could equally be suicide if figures drop like a stone. We'll know in 9 - 12 months if that's the case or not.

I'm still reading but not replying to anything else in here as it's it will result in more over the top reactions and more posts like the one you made. I didn't say at any point it was a hanging offence or say it was anything serious. The majority of you have turned one post into a massive deal when it really isn't.
