Firstly I'm sorry my post has been such an issue... Secondly I'm a genuine man not looking to con people... Just thought id use the community to help.... And to the comment about me price fixing adding value to these items... Well your welcome to ur opinion but I only put this on as I saw fraya comment on tweeter that a signed last show pictures went for £175... That's cool stuff, but normally a thread dedicated to something selling is frowned upon in most forums unless there's a dedicated section. I don't disagree with your aims as it's a very good charity though! If you'd mentioned it in parsing in one of the other threads, you'd of probably not attracted so much attention. Just saying.

I just said it was an interesting bidding pattern, which is unusual for an item that doesn't have the highest of value. Which to me it is.

But if it's for charity then I'll withdraw any comments that aren't overtly positive.

The fact that a percentage of the funds raised are going to a good cause and that the poster has had a tough time of late are not reasons that I can allow advertising where we have taken the opposite approach every other time. To permit one post just means it's harder to justify deleting others in the future.

As a compromise I've left the post and so if anyone really cares to bid for the item they can hunt it down on eBay, but the next time I'd delete it outright, especially as the originator has no history on the forum.

Nicola did exactly the right thing.

As an aside I receive, or am copied on, all sorts of begging emails to get Chris to appear, donate items or make a gesture to various causes. Its usually hard not to be sympathetic or feel supportive to the causes they mention, but the fact is that if you do it once then you need to do it every time in order to be consistent - and there are way, way, way too many to do something for them all.
