The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

What are your moments of the show that you find hilarious, but didn't get much attention paid to them?

One of mine has to be when they were guessing what Rach's first dance song would be, and also when Chris' friends got married - and their first dance was Sean Kingston - 911

I remember about 4 or 5 years ago when during some discussion Chris said without any irony, "Music is my life."
And Dave laughing & saying, "I can't believe you just said 'Music is my life!' "

I don't know why that particular exchange stuck in my head as it doesn't seem particularly funny or memorable but for some reason i found it hilarious. Image

when the team spontaneously broke out into singing the a-team theme. first time i listened properly to the show.

Dave about 4 years ago giving his opinions on various European countries. The Dutch were "relaxed", the Germans "efficient" etc. Doesn't sound funny but it was at the time

Haha, was that the time they were trying to do it in French?

It would have to be the Christmas Panto for me.

I loved the pre-recorded element, if they'd spent more time writing mini-adventures (like the Archers for Radio 1) than rolling out podcasts then every once in a while it wouldve been a treat.

Chris as Scrooge, Dom the ghost of yesterday's weather and tiny Aled.

Chris
Call me a taxi

Dom
Ok! You're a taxi.

Chris
Look, if I wanted a script full of pathetic old jokes I'd work with JK and Joel.

Speaking of which, the JK and Joel chats were always great, and punchy, laddish fun.

* and Pullit, more pre-recorded fun. Those were the days I believed he would actually embark on these projects, and film pilots for ideas like Celebrity Hide n Seek.

Quickly realised it was merely part of the show's charm though.

One of the funniest was Dave and the Curry House discount; I listened back to this from the vault the other day and it still makes me chuckle.

I love all the Toby-Le-Rone's; priceless classics and such childish humour (right up my street).

On the softer side; who remembers Angelos and his weight loss journey; which in a way probably helped him that he was called every week to check on progress..

I'm not sure if I'd describe Toby LeRone as underrated, they made such a big thing about it. One Word Weather maybe, though. The clip in the vault from November 2011 is a great one. "Brought to you in association with man-sized tissues. Aii."

There's so many.
I can't find any dialogue of it anywhere, but there was one show in early 2005(May I think) where Chris went on a rant at either Dom or Comedy Dave where he aggressively ripped the piss, and one of his mocking comments was a very sarcastic "Owww, I got smacked with a rubber band!" On hearing that I almost did myself an injury laughing. (Yes, my sense of humour can be weird.)
I've never been able to find the show since or remember the exact date of it, and I might not have got the dialogue exactly right as I've not heard it since the time the show went out live, but I thought it was brilliant.

Also there was the time Chris started apparently started phoning random people up and just shouting "You're an idiot!" down the phone at them along with the rest of the team, in "Duh!" voices, before hanging up. They did it with about 6 or 7 people in quick succession. I'd only just woken up when I heard this, and again I laughed so hard I gave myself chest pains. Think this was sometime in 2006.
(I think it might've been mentioned on here recently anyway, but meh.)

And any of his rants about Faria Alam(or, as he called her, Fire Alarm) were brilliant. It was awesome to hear Chris so passionately angry.

There'll be plenty others - but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head.

I don't know if its underrated as such, but one of the best moments - or sets of moments - was the saga of Dave's Lost Wedding Ring. As it turned out they needn't have bothered, but it was great at the time.

Another one I really like is from the marathon show where Dave asks Dom if there are gonna be any plagues of locusts in the weather forecast. It kind of got lost in all the record-breaking moments but it's very funny.

It isn't, and I thought about doing it when we had the other 'favourite show moments' thread, but it was such an ongoing saga that it's very difficult to locate which shows contain the clips and what times they would be at.

It would be really difficult, as Nic said, it ran over several weeks so to do the whole thing coherently would (I imagine) be impossible.

They'd have a cut-down version. But some of the best off-the-cuff comments get edited from the podcasts.

One moment(Or series of moments, since it was a running gag for a bit) worth mentioning is the Sean Crapston parody Chris did in about September 2007 when Sean Kingston did that terrible song which sampled Stand By Me. I remember being glad it annoyed Chris as much as it annoyed me. Hearing the song for the first time was a real LOL moment.
(Seeing him mentioned in the first post of this thread reminded me.)

Yes! Never failed to make me laugh, got to love the random features :D

Steve bringing in his table of pain is an underrated moment (s) for me, always a good laugh, especially Chris' reaction everytime Steve walked into the studio
