The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I found it most unusual that Chris said he hadn't seen Dave since the show ended having been best mates for years. I'm going to assume that means he didn't go to see him in JCSS which would be very unusual if they were still close mates.

It's all ifs, buts and coconuts but sad if it's true.

The only thing that surprises me is that people are surprised that Chris and Dave aren't big friends any more. That has been clear for a long time. Did it really take this story for people to realise that?

Listen to 2004 shows and listen to 2012 shows. Their relationship bares no resemblance whatsoever.

No doubt the dynamic changed slightly through the years but I assumed that was due to all of them getting older and more mature.
If Chris went behind Dave's back then I can understand his anger but if he was up front about it then I can't see the issue here. I'm guessing we'll never know the full story though.

Agree with this. I didn't listen to the show for a good 5/6 years (until this June) and I couldn't help but notice how withdrawn and peripheral Dave had become as part of the show. I watched the final show on the red button and Dave seems disconnected to what's going on around him.

I wasn't aware of any fallout rumours, I didn't even know about his divorce. Throughout this time, when I heard Dave on 5 Live, on Richard's Bacon's show - he seemed exactly how he used to be. It was only when I started listening back to Moyles, I noticed a different dynamic in their relationship.

Oh for christs sake. I wasnt aware of all this.

Im sure Chris will deny on Twitter if false. Alas, I presume true. :( Bugger.

Didnt notice any tone in the 2012 shows but as im listening to the back catalogue of Podcasts, just starting 2007, ill keep an ear out.

If true (and unfortunately I think it is) this is really sad, as Chris and Dave seemed to have such a great relationship for so many years, although I agree that it definitely underwent a noticeable change for the worse in the last year or two. The only 'double act' news story that would make me sadder would be if it turned out that Ant and Dec secretly hate each other. But I think I'm safe enough on that one.

I think Chris would save himself a lot of bad press if he comes out and says something. If it turns out they hooked up way after Jayne and Dave separated then its bad but not half as bad as if Chris was the cause of the marriage breakdown. The silence from all parties allows for idle speculation.

I definatly think something is up. In the last show when it was visualised, there was such a good energy in the room, and then you see during every song Dave is just sitting back on his chair, away from the desk, constantly just looking at his phone. During the whole 3 1/2 hours, when a song was playing I think he spoke to Dom about twice, and that was it.

It isn't new news that Chris and Jayne are friends. We had this whole conversation around the time those photos of them on holiday together surfaced. It's also well known that Chris is friends with Dave's first wife, Emma. It feels to me like the Mirror have noticed something that was already there and concocted a story from it. I don't believe for a second that they would have carried on working together if Chris had actually caused Dave and Jayne's marriage to end.

It would be sad to think that Chris and Dave had fallen out, for whatever reason, but people move on I guess. I personally never noticed any tension in the show and I can't say as I particularly want to go back through old shows trying to listen for it - that will ruin the memory of a great on-air partnership for me.

I certainly never noticed tension either. That is what makes me slightly unsure about this story, although there could still be some truth in it. What I did notice when I started listening to the 2004 shows whilst they were still on-air this year, was how much their chemistry had changed.

If, as this report suggests, there was bitterness between them then they did hide it pretty well, but the fact they were no longer close mates was blindingly obvious when compared to how they used to be. I think we have seen pretty clear evidence of that since the show ended.

I understand not wanting to go back to old shows again. Doing that was partly what made me realise how poor 2012 (pre-leaving announcement) was by comparison. That said, I can now continue listening to the Chris Moyles Show when it was at its brilliant best!

Didn't Chris split up with Sophie about a year(or a bit less) before Dave and Jayne split up? I don't remember him saying he's been seeing anyone since.
Saddened by this, and pretty unimpressed by Chris if it's true.
