The TV star was plagued by celebrity gatecrashers at his annual fancy-dress bash with Bobby Gillespie and Nick Grimshaw among those turning up uninvited to his North London bash.

And the Radio 1 breakfast show host will not be welcome next year...

“Grimmy, I’ve never met him,” says Jonathan. “I haven’t listened to his show because it’s on too early.

"My wife’s never met him either. I don’t think I know anyone who knows him properly.

"He just turned up. He didn’t say hello. Not to me, my wife, the kids, anyone.

"I saw him out of the corner of my eye and thought: ‘Who’s that? I don’t know who that is.’

Apologies for the 3am infestation, really.

I'm new to this forum so only just heard about that story which I hope was true, it's certainly made me smile... X

The little bits of the show I catch daily usually feature at least a couple of tracks that are interesting. The bits in between the music make my ears bleed though.

I only listen to R1 at the weekend now, totally fecked off the morning show, NG has destroyed that love affair. Also listen to Annie Mac and Rob Da Bank etc on iPlayer, for my type of music.

I like the fact that they've referred to and played Tina singing the Rihanna song a few times this week. Nice when they refer back to the Moyles show :)

The music Grimmy plays is no different to the stuff played on the other daytime shows. Moyles just used to play the more mainstream stuff, but that was a Radio 1 decision at the time.
Radio 1 have played a good mix of music for ages, it's just that people who only ever listened to breakfast never got to hear it.

They still manage a good mix, a little pre occupied with "un-discovered and under the radar" bands and in about 50% of the cases there is a good reason they are under the radar, and thats because they are utter dog dirt. Then again
i'd let chris choose the evenings music but i wouldn't let Aled, he could try, but i'd have to put him outside eventually, and flick the Vs through the frosted glass whilst listening to something he didn't like very loud. I'm afaid he is in some way responsbile for some of the play list rubbish given his play list meetings, but thats just my opinion.
Fincham likes enya Say No More... music to cold-turkey to.

Oh so he's going to have a bit part in 'Wreck-it-Ralph' then?

It won't be much, just one of those regionally different voice overs like when Chris did a voice over in 'Robots'.

So now I can watch it an not have it bodged up by Grimshaw! Hoohaar!

The Brit NOMINATIONS. Not the Brit AWARDS.

"Hosting" the nominations means reading from a piece of paper to a handful of bored journalists.
