The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

The first appearance but certainly not the last! They talk about it a year or so later and Dave does the voice, which I think was different to what it was when he actually did the feature.

The fact that every game goes pear shaped just shows that they were engineered to go pear shaped. Doesn't stop it being funny, mind you but I'd bet it's non-scripted in the way Top Gear is non-scripted.

So today's replay was great with the extra 30 minutes for the "listen again" folks. What a great idea at the time. I really liked the behind the scenes post-show meeting just for it's nut and bolts aspect to the show. Little did they know that in the future they'd be doing that extra 30 minutes every day M-F.

I have a right to reply when people add comments that I am masturbating in my back garden!! Surely!!

Not really. You put yourself in a public place and say to the world at large "tell me what you think" - people are going to do that, even when what they think is offensive, nasty, ridiculous, irrelevant - and worse. Its daft to assume it won't happen, so if its going to upset you, don't do it. Or as someone else said - disable comments.

Regarding today's replay - the featured Dave and Dom skit merging The Archers and the CM Show and combining a gay kiss between the two of them had me in tears. I had to restrain myself from laughing out load so that people wouldn't look at me like I was nuts.

Currently listening to today's replay of the day and it's the first appearance of McFly. And Chris was very unimpressed with them. Ironic how that relationship evolved over the years.

His opinion changes very quickly. Give it a week or two before he flip-flops.

Yep, I can definitely second what neil says especially when some of the records in 2005 come to mind when he said he hated at first but then ended up loving.

That happens to me very rarely and one example I can think of is I just wanna live by Good Charlotte where I didn't really like it at first but after watching the video for the song, I ended up liking it.

Currently on November 2005 myself and it is the period where Dom was out since his wife just had their second child so Georgina Bowman took over and Chris pretty much being Chris in that he goes on about her being easy and the like etc.

Yea - I know he flip flopped all the time. It just really struck me how he completely dismissed McFly after the first time hearing them. And then you flash forward to the tribute video McFly did for him for the final show. The juxtaposition of those two things was really striking to me.

No, I literally mean keep listening for a few weeks! I've listened up to about end of April 2004 and he changed his mind about McFly about 2 weeks after initially dismissing them when they came on the scene in March 2004 or whenever it was.

You should wait and hear what he calls her on the final day.

I'm still on 2004, and really enjoying it, apart from having Mysterious Girl running through my head all the damn time...

Yeah, I find Mysterious Girl really catchy too. :D

Yesterday's replay with Dom playing the guitar (Radiohead's Street Spirit) while Chris and Dave droned the melody really made me laugh. I've never been a Radiohead fan and I was completely unfamiliar with this song, but it struck me as being a good imitation of most Radiohead songs that I've heard. Also that was the first time I've really heard Dom play the guitar for any length of time. He wasn't bad at the time. I'm assuming he's just gotten better.

For the record I did go a check out the original Street Spirit video on youtube. Meh - it's Radiohead.

Listening to today's replay (from Liverpool). Chris is going on about how he's changed his view of McFly. You weren't kidding! A complete 180 degree turnaround from his initial impression. Surprised he didn't get whiplash from that flip.

Yep, I listened to it there last week I believe it was where he basically just says "Georgina Bowman, slut!" and she was certainly not happen about that. Zoe Ball was a guest on that show as well as Jon Culshaw who was on later. Listening to the New York Shows now and the Tuesday one was funny especially when they were taking the mick out of Carrie interviewing David Beckham and Chris in his funny loud voice "SLEEP WITH ME!"

Overall I thought 2005 was a great year since some of the shows had some damn right funny moments but too bad I can't remember which shows some of them came from. Remember April having a lot of quality shows!

I loved the Tedious Link song today, Van Halen's Jump. Chris was right that he rewound it to play the guitar and organ solos again, lots of people back then when it was live (and probably some like me) were either doing air guitar, air keyboard or both.

I'm still struggling to find a decent picture of the team for the album artwork for my archive where the picture looks decent on my Phone. Anyone got one?
